Let's just say that my life experience leads me to strongly suspect the ex-boyfriend is the one getting away with murder.

Feigned not being able to recall specific timelines and events when questioned on the witness stand and was clearly lying IMO.

Just watched the second series. Oh My Lord. What a backward hick place is the US. Their court system and appeal systems are just totally beyond a joke. The documentary presents a very biased view I will concede, but there are sooo many questions that need answering. Its staggering that these guys are rotting in jail when you consider how much evidence points to the fact that they did not do it. If even one of the many allegations made by Zellner are credible, this whole scenario must be re-examined pronto. There are probably more people deserving of prison time working for the "good guys" than Avery and Dassey.

I still come back to the fact that they allege that Halbach is r*ped, stabbed and had her throat cut in Stevens bedroom, yet there is no evidence at all that she was even in there. I imagine that these two hillbillies aren't known for their crime scene cleaning prowess.

Some of the characters involved are hilarious. The prosucutor Kratz for example. What an utter tool he is. Popping up at every opportunity to promote a book he's written. It's like a US sitcom only real. And Zellner, what's with the constant tweeting of progress updates?? Seems very weird imo. This whole sad saga is going to line the pockets of guess who? The lawyers. And the longer it drags on the more they will make.

Zellner is doing this pro bono, isn’t she? In any case, she is an absolute gun. Her comments after Dassey’s oral arguments before the en banc 7th Circuit, while self-serving in the sense of relating them to Avery’s case, were so shrewd and insightful.

After the first series I was convinced Steven Avery was framed, but thought he was likely guilty anyway. Now I’m not so sure he’s guilty and am at least certain he should never have been convicted.

Imagine holding back the forensic data on Bobby Dassey for over a decade, because he was a crucial witness for the prosecution!

Poor Brendan though; he’s ****ed without a de novo review brought about by developments in Avery’s case.

Yeah I couldn't see either convicted in an Australian court. That confession would have been thrown out before it even got to trial (meaning there would be no trial). And the amount of questions in the Avery case would have had any DPP here frightened of going forward with a prosecution.
