Steg, I know most (actualy ALL) of it sounds like crap! BUT if you want a web page you will find you will HAVE to learn some of that CRAP! ;)

Or sign up angelfire, tripod or somewhere and just use their site builder!

Either way, you will have to learn HTML (HyperText Markup Language)

Before I learned how to write HTML in notepad, I started off with Netscape Compser, its part of the Netscape Communicator 4.x and up. Very simple to use with enough basic features to get you underway.

Oh, and it's free.

I use Microsoft Frontpage which is an add on to Microsoft Office 2000.

Very good program but will set you back a couple of hundred dollars, unless you want to copy it like I did?

I've been learning to use the website creating program, Dreamweaver, at uni for the last few months. It's a great, fairly easy-to-use program which produces great results. We had to do a group assignment where we created a website using Dreamweaver, in one weekend we created a website which looked far more professional and attractive than the personal website I've spent a year working on using raw html. :)

I'd recommend Dreamweaver

I haven't used FrontPage myself but I've heard that's a good one too!

:D Thanks Loz but I have to confess that Rivals provided me the site. I just fill it up with content and try to make it look good. Glad you like it though, and it's only getting better.

www.angelfire.com
www.geocities.com
www.tripod.com

Dreamweaver is a great program, but costs money. I use
Adobe Pagemill, but that costs a heap.

Of the above three websites geocities is probably the best, has a online website building program, and is pretty easy to use.
Whatever you use, it IS VERY helpful to know basic HTML

Hope this helps
