There was talk that we'd be de-listing Kirby at seasons end. If that's the case, my Bigfooty career is over before it began.

I'm trying to hide my pain with Kale so I don't look silly. Is it working?

It's working for the lols

Just signed a 3 year contract

Yes, and I wasn't suggesting he'd be going anywhere, but I presume we will need to find a spot for him on the Primary List at the end of the year. This is his 3rd consecutive year on the Rookie List.
Now he's able to be traded if all parties are agreeable.

I assumed that JTs was still on the senior list after he was upgraded late last year? Rookies don't get 3 year deals. And he isn't listed as a rookie on our list on the website.
I'm aware that the club has him listed on the Primary List on the website, but assume that it's simply a mistake. The AFL Record and AFL Record Season (Guide) 2018 indicate that he is still on the Rookie List.

Thomas was elevated during last season which allowed him to play senior football, but at the end of the year he'd have still been on the Rookie List. Mason Cox was upgraded to the main list at the time of the National Draft, but he would have been the only rookie to get upgraded at that time.

I assumed that by upgrading him then that this reconfigured the senior to rookie list ratio from there in.

Doesn't mention him being upgraded then to cover injury... in the way that Madgen was cited as upgrade to cover Dunn moving onto the LTI list (understanding the Magden was a Cat B and had to be upgraded before playing AFL)

So I assume the only difference between rookie list and senior list now is the floor contract being only 1 year as opposed to 2, and the floor money being lower than a drafted first year senior player.

Rookies can now be on bigger money 3 year contracts. Kinda makes them a senior listed player by default then.

He wasn't upgraded last year to cover injury. Clubs were allowed to elevate a rookie from about the middle of the year onwards without needing to have an LTI player to replace. This covers it in the article you've provided a link to: “Josh goes up onto the primary list as a mid-season elevation, which clubs are able to do subject to demonstrating they have room in their Total Player Payments,” General Manager of Football Geoff Walsh told Collingwood Media.

They obviously did bring in new rules for this year regarding the rookies, and now Category A Rookies can play senior football any time they're required (no elevation necessary), so you could indeed say it "makes them a senior listed player by default"!

I’d keep Smith. I think many of you are too hard on him. However, he seems to do the job Bucks asks of him and mis handy backup for defence.

If he is happy with a contract on the lower side, I’d be hanging in to him unless he wants to look elsewhere.

I’m quite surprised so many of you are writing off Tim Broomhead. I’m actually a big fan of Broomie and feel he has not had a clean a run. I think his quite classy and uses the ball very well. He just lacks a bit of pace but I think his skills can over come that deficiency.

I’d also consider trading Jamie Elliot right now while he still has good value now. Feel like we can cover for him
now and would prefer to chase a Michael Walters or Leon Davis type.

His pace is alright. He’s not a hard nut though. Also, he’s really a midfielder who played in the forward line. He’d be a step up from Mayne on the wing.

After Marsh was preferred in late 2016 Goldsack performed admirably and had a career best year as an undersized key back in 2017. Retaining Goldsack looks more important after today.
