Ebert would be perfect in East Perth's midfield!

EFA, we are better off without him as we have better options, it's why he couldn't crack a game with us after all

Fair call, but Coniglio was mentioned and has only played one more season than him at this stage... I just hope we can lure someone of that calibre home, Rich would be ideal given his age, and I think his contract expires at the end of this season. Okay yeah, fair enough. I was thinking Coniglio due to his public love for West Coast - we're always a shot there. I have a feeling he's contracted until 2015 though.

I've heard the same about Rich - I'd love for us to have a dip. The cap will be no issue - merely generating something to trade.

Yeh maybe last year but he adds a lot of size to our midfield. He would slot in there and be extracting the ball against those bigger bodied midfields like Sydney and Adelaide.

He was never going to displace Kerr and Priddis in the short term and his kicking skills weren't good enough to make it in other roles like on the half-forward line.

Wellingham will be a better player for us in the same role than Ebert would have been.

Ebert and Wellingham wont play the same roll. Ebert is a true in and under midfielder. He will be a super extractor in the next few years. Our team really could have done with him last season and the next few seasons. Oh well. We move on.

If you just read the bolded parts of what Go Eagles is saying, it reads...

I am saying that our best team which must have Natanui and Kerr in can beat anyside.

Going into round 1 and 2 without Natanui Kerr Whellingham is a massive blow and if we are 0-2
our top 2 ambitions take a battering.
Natanui might still be off a few more weeks after the 2nd round as well.

We then would end up in the 7th -12th placing fight, amongst those teams like Richmond.

What are you trying to tell us?

GoEagles Yeh but remember Hawthorn started horribly last season and ended up wrapping the minor premiership up. 2 games at the start doesn't define our season.

Don't be silly. Clearly Richmond = West Coast

If Kerr doesn't get up for the first game (which I reckon he will), the starting midfield would look like Scooter, Priddis and Shuey with Masten as first rotation. Looks a bit thin, even with Gaff and Rosa on the wings. NN will be hugely missed, but Lycett looks like developing into a decent ruckman. Not as damaging as NN by any means, but definitely showing he has real potential.

We'll get smashed.
