Nope.

You forgot this......

Turned the game massively in their favour in the first half WHEN IT MATTERED.

On THEIR home ground, after we had finished top and successfully won both our finals. ******* VFL flogs.

It was mostly standard liberal finals interpretations. Few if any resulted in goals. History's not going to change, no matter how hard you stare at it.

Do you think Blight's comments are on the money?

Richmond blinkers champ. A a few would've resulted in goals, and a few others probably would have prevented a few, which would have completely changed the complexion of the game.
History won't change, but we can only hope and pray that sheer blatant VFL control over what is NOT a truly national competition, will change sooner rather than later, and that more non-victorian administrators become involved in AFL management, and change some of the insane set ups that non-victorian clubs are subject to. It's just wrong.
Blighty's spot on, but that's not what I was talking about.

As confirmed Richmond-hater Dennis Cometti said, “I was in Adelaide during the week and if confidence were gold, it was a very rich city.” It’s unfortunate that the media deceived you into believing there was only one team in it. Adelaide managed to win in 1997-98 with arguably weaker teams, but weren’t good enough on the day.

None of that excuses the current state of affairs.

Feel sorry for Adelaide supporters. Every team has had and will have again phases where there club is run by people who don't have the courage to admit mistakes and step away.

They've circled up, they've had emergency meetings and honesty sessions...two years on, things are worse and they can't agree on the next step. It really is a board&CEO problem now, but I don't think we're gaining anything by delaying the inevitable decision.

VFL finals system got you a flag by finishing 5th, losing a final, and still staying in the series.

Imagine how salty you'd be if Richmond got that kind of draw!

Because of the reasons I mentioned, they lost good people and they lost important players - which probably follows losing the good people.

If David Noble was still at Adelaide along with Charlie Cameron and a motivated Mitch McGovern things would be different.

So many of their problems seem to trace back to Brett Burton off field and their ageing flat track forward line on field. The coach hasn't helped things, but if he had a wise voice next to him I bet a lot of problems would've been prevented.

Also Sydney played in the 2016 grand final and 3 years later are right towards the bottom. The Dogs struggles of 17/18 are well known. Hawthorn won the grand final in 2015 and finished 12th in 2017. The Crows playing group were older than many thought, they were ripe for a drop off

But apart from Noble, it's not a Hawthorn-like poaching is it of the people?

The current people in charge are being shredded in rumours and 'reports', which you could normally pass off as bullshit, but the sheer number of exits with a small number of returns surely means there are issues outside of playing group age - they're old because McGovern, Cameron, Lever leaving, a poor midfield balance etc. Not just because of an aging list.

Get rid of anyone who mistakenly saw a football club as an SAS elite squad team for a start. No amount of emergency meetings will seemingly repair the damage from that. Not just CEO and board, but a lack of accountability from guys like Brett Burton who seems extremely underqualified for his role anyway as basically an ex-player with some personal training experience.

The Adelaide BF board has been fed up with the admin for 10+ years. Our CEO and chairman orchestrated salary cap cheating and survived for * sake.

Now our club should be renamed Mark Ricciuto and friends. Roo got rid of Trigg but somehow he’s ****ed it up even more.

Roo came in to make tough decisions, which he did initially, and then caved in.

Under qualified with a healthy dose of arrogance

When you combine that in any field that f endeavour, the outcomes are predictable

The Board is 100% one of the problems, and has been for years - and the CEO is potentially a major issue as well.

Riciutto runs the show down there. Surely the buck stops with him? Get the feeling this "Review" consisting of a couple of Roo's mates and a couple of blokes who have been on the payroll for a while will be orchestrated to make Pyke the fall guy (or a couple of his assistants if the payout is considered too high). He's been pushing this narrative in the media over the last few months, meanwhile his other 2 great mates in Brett Burton, who apparently is universally despised by the playing group and Justin Read who is responsible for the sate of Adelaide's list will be off the hook.
