An interesting side light: Hamish Rutherford was recalled to the side and suffered a first ball duck as part of the above. Chip off the old block I thought (his father Ken was a total scrub) except that whereas Ken produced a pair on his test debut, Hamish hit 171 in his test debut. That must be a unique family contra-achievement? Surely?

A Test Hat Trick is much more challenging and imo one of the great feats for a bowler, simply because of the time issue involved.

With that said, Malinga's latest hat trick would have arguably been nailed even if it was a test match.

This guy was dead weight a few years ago. Suddenly he's bowling like he was 10 years ago, huge dad gut and all. Nothing like a fatty killing it in sports.
