Yet Curnow got free-kicked for that exact thing in the Carlton forward line & then Sewell does the same thing at the other end & it is play on (which is the way it has been umpired all season, so why suddenly pay one, when they haven't been paying them)?

Really juvenile from mick. Even when the umpiring is awful you have show some humility and leadership and focus on the things you CAN control instead of bitching over the things you can't.

The hawks definitely had things go our way, but some things skew the perception a lot.
Eg Mitchell's obvious throw, but hawks got a free because someone had just ridden Lakes head into the turf. That is correct umpiring but it looks like hawthorn got away with an obvious throw.

Also noted that carlton kept their feet a lot better than us, we were fortunate to receive a lot of frees from Carlton's incorrect tackling technique. That went our way.

Kicking the ball out on the full can skew the stat a bit too.

Listened to the umps mics all night. The Mitchell throw one was fine. Waite's push in the back happened before the throw, therefore that was paid. Was hilarious listening to Betts and Walker having a go at Chamberlain about it and him shutting them down in about 5 seconds.

Sorry but it was rubbish. They made a concerted effort last week and in the first two quarters of this game to let things go, and it was great.

Just watched the post match interview with Mick.

It was refreshing to see a coach call it as he sees it and not be cagey about his opinions. I guess I am too used to seeing Worsfold deflect every question.

I especially appreciated his comments about the incorrect disposal rule. It seems now all you have to do is drop the ball and it's play on.

Oh and yes, Hawthorn supporters won a game from the umpires favouring them....all West Coast posters accept your apologies for this accusation against us last week.
