Win/Win. Forget Anthony.................It just crossed my mind......................Sheesh

You might have been kidding, but sadly Anthony said he chose the NBs because he thinks it will help Mick notice him and increase his chances of getting drafted.

I watched the entire 13 plus minutes, which I have to say was quite onerous. Mick has a repetitive, oblique style at times.
Used as a blueprint by some BF posters too.

I said the same thing about a girl I was attracted to at a nightclub yet all it did was get me kicked out by the bouncers!! :)

Totally unnecessary commentary by Malthouse on Judd - one of the Club's and game's great champion players - doesn't need any public advice from an ex Collingwood Coach - an example of why I am in two minds about Malthou$e. I guess he has his agenda and I suspect it is to increase his available salary cap.

Doesn't sound like you're in two minds at all... Sounds like you've got an incredibly large chip on your shoulder.

Sticks went on one year too long. Sucked seeing him run around when he was cooked.

Sticks was pretty decent in 1996. Averaged 3 goals per game, played in the finals and was a bright spot in a terrible team performance in a smashing by the Bears.

His playing on too long was a hindsight call IMO.

Justin Madden however had a serious decline in 1996 and should not have gone around in 1997.

I agree. Let's hope Juddy goes while still effective. In many ways the Blues promised him a lot more than we delivered!

It's not a hindsight call. I felt it at the time. Kouta was our leading goal kicking in Kernahan's last season.

His last season is not what is in question here. It is surely the signs from his second last season that he should give it away so as not to go on too long as per the contention.

1995 17 games (out of possible 25), 12.58 disposals, 7.11 marks, 63 goals, 40 behinds.
1996 19 games (out of possible 24), 10.95 disposals, 5.68 marks, 56 goals, 34 behinds.
1997 16 games (out of possible 22), 11.37 disposals, 4.75 marks, 23 goals, 23 behinds.

I reckon 96 was fairly credible in a weaker side than the all conquering 95 side. Disposals a couple down, marks a little down but goals and scoring shots in general still up there.

IMHO Juddy won't need to be 'pushed out early', he'll do it himself. I have very little belief that he will play on too long. Just the 'vibe' I get.

If he has a bad season, no way he'll go around again. And I reckon he will want to go BEFORE that bad season shows up.

Who knows, this year's injuries could be enough to make up his mind.

Worth every cent. Had a very interrupted season and remains a very dangerous player, even if plonked forward or running off half back Scotland style
I have no idea of the stats but judd has always been a bit of a 50/50 in front of goal, so going forward i am not sure is best approach. anyways, doesnt really matter now does it.

I'm not selling him but his efforts are right under our nose.

Has been good for most of the year but then again, I'm sure other mature-agers have been also.

That's cool, I'd just like to think that our recruiting staff would cast a wider net than that.

So Judd says he feels the exact way Mick does about when to retire.

What a shock.

I am shocked to be reading this!

I certainly won't be shocked when this DOESN'T appear on the back page of the HS. Despite them printing a story last week which said Mick was forcing Judd out the door.
