MyManDawes: I think Scodog is a bit too dismissive of Deekay, if not outright rude. Deekay is entitled to his opinion, and the argument he presents is interesting, even if people do disagree with it. Telling him to 'take your argument elsewhere because you are clearly not capable of anything approaching intelligence ....' is an insult to the post which is undeserved. Surely we do not have to be so thin skinned as to react to different views in such an aggressive way.

DeeKaay: Thanks for this - I respect your opinion

I agree with scodog. Deekay, the problem is you have come here claiming assumptions as facts. Things like brownlow medalists don't make good coaches, buckley won't be given time to rebuild list and Eddie will be remembered as someone who sacked a premiership coach.

Bucks is 4 games into his tenure. Go away and come back with facts or after bucks has had some time.

For people that keep saying MM was Sacked.
MM was NOT SACKED, he signed a contract, he failed to follow through on that contract (3 more years), MM Did not have to sign it, BUT he did, he was not sacked, who gets sacked, in this world, with 2 1/2 years notice?
I would Love MM to still be at the Pies, but he isnt, his decision!
By constantly talking about it, aint going to change it.

As for Eddie, yeh, he is a Loud mouth, just like the rest of all supporters of AFL, he is passionate, I bet most opposition supporters would love to have a president like Ed, not for his mouth, but for what he has done for the Club. Our financial position is a testimony to his presidency.(and an envy to the opposition)
As for Buckley, 4 games into his coaching career, FFS! get a life!

From what I see on the outside it seem Eddie McGuire is being over protective, malthouse is just doing his job as a media commentator.

They have both been great fro collingwood fc but if they have personal issues they need to keep them private.

- Buckley will not be given time to rebuild the list. He has lost Davis, Ball and Krakouer from last year’s grand final team and there are too many other players injured. When they come back they will not be match fit. Carrazzo has worked out how to stop Pendlebury and others will copy him. And, at 28 years of age, how many elite games of football does Swan have left in him? Maybe 10. Swan has been a great player, in the long history of the Collingwood football club, only 49 players have played more games. He’ll keep playing for another 3-4 years but he will get slower and have less impact.

1 down 9 to go

MMD I was so dismissive because his post came five days after the thread had died off and was only done to enflame.
