Well hopefully the new structure around him sorts out the incomings and outgoings a LOT better and he can just get on with getting us to play a proper style of football that makes us competitive game in game out and not reliant on individual brilliance to win games.

this transfer period needs to be just as much about clearing the dead wood as the incomings. gotta remember although INEOS are in charge we are still owned by the Glazers.

Okay, if the club have decided it’s ETH long term then extend his contract for 3-4 years and support him. His job can’t be under threat every 12 months.
The job of a manager at a top club is ALWAYS under threat, it's the way football works now unfortunately. A poor season and EtH will get sacked, no matter how long his contract is.

There will be performance clauses (european qualification for example) that if not met means he can be fired.

Then hopefully the club puts the right players in place where a good coach can finish in the top 6.

First thing is to start playing a proper midfield. So arse of the McTominay types and get a proper player there with Mainoo and Bruno.

Would love Neves from Benfica but think he'll be rather costly.

Sounds like ETH's contract will be extended for another year as they can trigger that option as part of his current contract. I'm happy with that as any longer extension would be madness.

He now has 2 years to show that he is building something or he loses his job within that period for poor performance.
