16 points and 15 goals this season already after 9 league games. Last season we achieved both in our 13 league fixture.

We had conceded 11 league goals after 9 matches last season and 14 at the same time this season. Hopefully that is going to improve with a proper keeper in goal.

A very noticeable trend shift this season in the EPL has been the return of good old fashioned English football (long balls and counter attacking). We really struggled to transition to the possession based style in the past decade so maybe with the return of the OG style, we might have much better luck. 🤞

Remember when we used to get crap for paying £89 million for the often excellent Paul Pogba? I can’t wait for Liverpool to get crapped on for wasting £100+ million on Florian Wirtz.

United win Pool and chelsea lose haha weekend can't get any better.

Great all round performance from everyone except the subs who almost through it away poor passes from dorgu and zirkzee can't man mark to save his life can't wait to see the back of him he is terrible.

Rolling at the moment but I 'm waiting until the season is over before having any expectations, who would have thought we would be above pool lmao.

We are lacking some depth though as it showed with our subs hopefully we make some signings in the Jan transfer window.

This guy is an absolute weapon I don't care he only has one goal, he is dangerous running at defenders something we haven't seen in a long time.

The recruitment team this season have finally turned a corner.

Anthony Taylor is trash.

I am sure if VAR didn’t exist, Taylor would give that a penalty. But referees have become lazy thinking VAR will take a look and bail them out every time. Unfortunately, the VAR operator is usually a bigger moron than the referee.

No surprises that our performances have seen a big improvement with Onana and Bayindir out of the side. Having a quality, competent Keeper allows our defenders to be far more proactive rather than reactive.

MDL in particular has been colossal.

Geez we’re a fun watch at the moment.

Some genuinely excellent football mixed in with moments of United shithousery. You just can’t look away.

Mbuemo and Cunha are fantastic. Makes a huge difference when you bring in PL proven quality who can step straight in.

Lammens looks good and is a huge upgrade on what we had.

Sesko I’m a bit worried about but he’s still young with time on his hands.

Say what you like about our ownership but they’ve largely nailed the past few windows.

Still a lot of work to be done but there is a very bright light at the end of this tunnel.

Yep, you can clearly notice the change in mentality of our defenders and the flow on effect of that.

They are now more confident in being aggressive with their defending knowing they have a keeper behind them who won't let a simple shot in and as such, they try to win balls higher up the pitch. Which in turn has meant the team as a whole can afford to play with more confidence and more of an attacking mindset.

Btw, that Amad and Mbeumo combo on the right is looking damn good now. Still need a LWB who can link up with Cunha on the left effectively, though.

Hopefully, Slot does just enough to stay in the Pool job for a long time yet. 🙂

Long may he reign.

Just like Chris Scott in 2011, was handed a side that could have won the league without him. First actual year inc harge of transfers and tactics and he has been exposed. Badly.
