We certainly know how to score again so big positive there. Would be nice to keep more clean sheets. Defending has been poor to concede 4 goals at home.

Another missed opportunity at 2-1 up and 4-3 up not to get the win. Lammens with 2 huge saves in stoppage time saved us as Bournemouth looked the more likely in the end to snatch the win.

Have we improved - yes. Have we improved enough - no.

16 games into the league season and we’ve scored 14 fewer goals than last season. Third best scorers. So we’ve improved scoring goals.

We are still putrid conceding goals.

We need improvements on Dalot and Shaw at a minimum. Another midfielder or two as well.

Since November 1st, we have drawn twice when we’ve scored two goals (Forest and Spurs), lost 1-0 to Everton when they played with 10 men for 77 + stoppage time minutes left to play, drawn with West Ham at home and drawn with Bournemouth after scoring 4 goals.

Improvement means we should be beating all of them. But we dropped 11 points.

Because for large parts of games we are absolute dogshit.

If they don't want to lose players every 2 years to the ACON I suggest that they don't buy African players. It reall y is that simple.

We are apparently going to try to sign Semenyo in the January transfer window. City also keen.

A fast, athletic and skillful player? Yes please.

He might just be the 5th goal in our lineup that we need to make sure we grab the 3 points.

All banter aside, when the AFCON players come back, he is likely going to fit in at LWB.

Cunha + Semenyo on one side, Mbeumo + Amad on the other will be insanely dangerous. The days of Dalot may be finally over 🙏

It is the gaping big Bruno sized whole in the middle that will still exist.

The noise coming out is the midfield targets we want are unattainable during January but Semenyo is high priority target with a fixed 65 million release clause in January (reduced from their asking price of 80+ million from last summer), so we want to get him in asap. Who knows though, maybe we look at a loan deal for a midfielder in January.

So a player who plays for an African country so will lose him every 2 years for how long the ACON lasts

Luckily, he isn't AFCON bound this time around but yeh, we will need to plan around that in the future, for sure.

Sanity prevails. The AFCON will be held every four years from 2028.

“United fans will want Bruno on the pitch for the second half. Unless you are Kobbie Mainoo.”

I swear that is the second or third time Mainoo has been mentioned like that. The other time was about who should have started out of Ugarte or Mainoo.

Can someone please tell the moron that Mainoo isn’t available off the bench today? He’s injured.
