ETH going from chocolates to boiled lollies this season. I still maintain he is being held back by the ownership, but the performances are still bad for what he has.

Held back how? He has plenty of talent at his disposal. Owners aren't choosing the team and tactics.

It’s just a shitshow.

Against palace at home, let’s put them under pressure and go on the attack yeah? Nahhhh let’s just pass the ball around the back for 80 minutes then decide to attack when it’s too late.

Do you reckon he signed all the players he wanted? If, so then fair enough.

Hard to know who the first choice players are that ETH wanted, I do think he had to settle for 3rd or 4th choice options.

This is why Amrabat stands out so much to me. He always looks upfield first. You can see he wants to create something.

Yeh I agree with pants. Ownership is definitely an issue, but you have managers at inferior clubs with inferior players playing with a style of football and patterns, whilst ETH can't even get the players to do the basics right.

If he needs to spend another half a billion to get a new set of players to play a particular style, then, he is not the answer.

I am willing to give him another season but I want to see a particular playing style and for him to drop the current dumbass midfield setup he keeps trying to make work, and to drop players who are holding the team back.

Can someone explain to me the argument that the owners are holding ETH back and haven't backed him?

He's spent €450 million since he joined.

He was able to sign his first choice options in Antony, Martinez, Onana and Mount. And whilst Casemiro wasn't the first choice midfielder (to FDJ), he was still a world class player when he was brought in.

It's not the owners fault ETH employs boring counter-attacking tactics.

I agree ETH needs to own it as we just aren’t performing or improving at all, there’s no identity at this club, no one knows how we play, because there just isn’t a style. You look at City, Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool, Villa, West Ham, Brighton, Newcastle etc and they all have an identity, you know what you’ll get game to game. For some weird ******* reason this club with every manager post SAF has not been able to implement an identity & playing style we can see and get behind, it’s not just with ETH, happened under Ole, Mourinho, LVG and certainly Moyes.

The Glazers are ******* the club though we can’t skip over that, because it’s not as simple as allowing the club to use their own revenue to buy players, the stadium needs a complete overhaul as does the training facilities. The fitness staff and coaching staff needs an overhaul as does the recruiting staff (it’s disgraceful), the squad needs investment and I know that sounds strange because I think we’re the most expensive squad in the PL which shows how pathetic this club is run, but there’s a fair few who need to leave and there’s still a few areas we need improving in.

ETH has had to deal with the dressing room shambles that Ole left, especially Ronaldo. He’s then had to deal with Greenwood and the Antony fiascos, and the latest in Sancho, there’s clearly divide again in the dressing room I don’t care what anyone says.

The elephant in the room is Rashford, he’s suppose to be our star and ‘Mbappe’, but he’s in ridiculously poor form and isn’t a player suited to the way ETH ultimately wants us to play (which is how he had Ajax playing, was great football). We’ve signed Rashford up on a long term deal and it’s going to be a real issue. Now he can score, but the problem I have with him is he breaks down our attacks with poor decision making or wanting to shoot, he doesn’t track back and he has terrible link up play, he is best suited to playing in a counter attacking team, we should’ve cashed in.

This season is going to get really bad and we will cop some absolute hidings again (dreading trips away to City and Liverpool), and I do feel as though ETH may not last the season, but I do feel he’s a good manager and we need to stick fat especially if we do get a Qatar takeover but if we keep losing the pressure to have him sack will just increase and at this point I can’t see how we aren’t going to keep losing, because we can’t score or defend.

SJR is now weighing up purchasing just a minority stake in the club leaving the Glazers in charge. This clown needs to piss off. He is another Glazer cuck.

Must say I'm not buying it, already heard he was making an offer that would keep the Glazers involved and now we're meant to believe he has gone from that to instead making a minority offer.

He may have given up on his initial offer as it had legal complications to work through with the other shareholders which may have lead to a dead end.

I see now it is being reported that he wants to acquire minority stake now with a view to acquire full control down the track. This is just a nightmare scenario, and he is weaseling his way into the club just like the Glazers did.

It’s October so every journo and their dog are going to print stories of the deal progressing because of that Custis report a few months ago about the sale concluding in October. There is not a single person on earth outside the Glazer, Raine, SJR, SJ camps who knows what is going on.
