Rojo is wank and a waste of $$$. Stupid signing and never liked it, rushed deal imo.
I disagree tbh, he formed a very good partnership with Smalling and offers a really good solid depth option at either CB or LB, he's a great squad player to have IMO.

I agree with you in regards to people underrating the Smalling and Jones partnership but the reality is that both are too injury prone to be relied upon as a first choice duo, any new CB signing should ideally be starting quality rather than cover IMO.

Yeah see can't agree there. Hate him at CB. As I said he tries to take the game on too much and lacks concentration, made some pretty woerful errors throughout the season last year. Dont mind him at LB however.

But yes agree, Smalling and Jones are just too injury prone which is so, so unfortunate. We saw a glimpse of what Smalling can really do in the second half of last season. Add Jones to that and I think it could be a great English partnership for years to come. Would not say not to either of Otamendi or Ramos though.

Andreas Pereira is a big chance of starting for United this season imo. Can see LVG giving him a chance, similar to how he gave Lingard a chance early last season. Was player of the year for the u21's last year, having a good season, if not a great one. Really stepped up for Brazil in the world cup. All their good attacking play went through Andreas. He's obviously kicked on from last year and is playing well on the tour. Here are his world cup highlights.:
I think he has the potential at the very least to turn into a player like Oscar for us!

Would you send pereira on loan? I personally would as he will see more first team action consistently
If he's not going to play 1's then i wouldn't be against a loan to a premier league club that plays decent football until January. Would prefer he stays though.

I always worry that seriously good prospects such as Wilson, Januzaj and Perreria will waste away at United and not reach their true potential without the first team game time that they need.

Have seriously high hopes for Wilson, that blokes has talent by the truck load. Perreria I'm warming to greatly. I just don;t want to see them stall and hit a massive brick wall like Januzj did.

I think the biggest problem with Januzaj is that his defensive game is very lacking.

I reckon a forward line of Depay - Wilson - Januzaj in a few years will be very good to watch, especially if we have Pereira, Herrera and Schneiderlin behind them.

Smalling is ok, jones is ok, Rojo is ok, Evans is putrid, Blackett is young, McNair is young, blind is serviceable at CB. None are leaders or class defenders, if we don't sign a quality CB we will be exposed by the top teams and go nowhere in Europe.

Smalling has become a leader over the last 12 months, LVG has praised him for this plenty of times and names him "third captain" behind Rooney and Carrick.

I do agree that we need more than that if we want to seriously contend though. I like the idea of Otamendi but all that talk seems to have died down now, I don't think we have a chance of Ramos though and they're the only players we've really seriously been linked with so it will be interesting to see what happens.

So there's strong rumours now that Ramos will be forced out of the club but it will be made to look like he wants to leave. Also, him being the captain, he didn't go and receive the ICC trophy tonight at the presentation. Real might be warming to the de Gea-Ramos swap? He wasn't in the trophy pic afterwards either

Missed the game but sounded like Blind, Darmian, Shaw and Carrick were our best? Saw Lingard's goal, we had a nice build up. I'd like to see our FBs pushing up that high regularly

Yes, all but done. Wasn't on the plane to where we are on our tour and is expected to arrive in New Jersey, where PSG are, for a medical. Reports going around that a £46.5m fee has been agreed. Disappointing, after he said he wanted to fight for his United spot, clearly BS, and has been so quiet ever since.

I think once he is officially gone, we'll move quick for Pedro.

And Pieman123, I agree regarding Herrera, was one of our best last season, if LVG isolates him like he did with Di Maria this coming season I'll be fuming, he is a brilliant player, would be one of the first picked when selecting the starting 11 if I was manager.
