Rubbish. There's only so much you can do with Nani, Valencia and Young. All one trick ponies, then add in the fact that you're best midfielder is 32 year old Michael Carrick and your best defender is increasingly on the decline (Vidic) and that one of your best creative players can barely play in his position (Kagawa) and it's a recipe for disaster.

Woodward is as much to blame as Moyes. Couldn't have cocked up the summer transfer window anymore than they did.

I don't think Moyes has been as bad as many of our fans are making out. Sure he's made bad subs, team selections and his tactics have been questionable but he's following in the footsteps of one of the great managers. Doesn't help when your back four puts you in a bad spot in the first place with terrible defending and the entire club has been used to Fergie's ways for years.

Give him some time, get angry if things don't change by this time next year.

"If you fight hard and just fail, people will still watch you on television, still turn up and buy shirts," he said. "There's still a lot of affinity with the club and interest. The reality is that you can't always win. "Take Liverpool. They still sell an incredible number of shirts and have the second biggest shirt deal in the Premier League. "They have one of the biggest technical partner deals - and they haven't won the league since 1990. And you can put the last bit underlined and in capitals. "If we have a bad year we have the financial strength to change the team. We have so much deeper financial strength that instead of selling three players and buying three, we can do five."
Nice to be aspiring to be like Liverpool. Still while people watch on TV and turn up and buy shirts a few losses here and there don't seem to be that important.

From what I saw of the extended highlights, today's game was less about Manchester United not having the personnel - but rather about them not finishing their chances. Everton are a really good side but it's not as if they dismantled United like City did - their counter attacking style would have had to change had one of Manchester United's many chances go in.

I'm not trying use a cop out I'm just thinking that maybe people are getting worked up more than they need to be. United still need to buy (#HerreraBainesKondogbiaIturrbe) and twelve points is huge but they'll still finish top four in my opinion.

No wonder he went chasing Cesc, Ronaldo. He needed the shirt sales...

Biggest mistake was completely overhauling the backroom staff, rather than go through a smoother transition. We did come off a title win so there wasn't a need to change it so drastically.

SAF: "I'd also like to remind you that we've had bad times here. The club stood by me. All my staff stood by me. The players stood by me. So your job now is to stand by our new manager. That is important."

what a pathetic performance.. once we went 1 - 0 down it was over.. that stems from the manager the lads show no fight passion or heart anymore

We've been screaming out for some midfielders for 5 years now, we've been dropping games we shouldn't for years now. It's sort of just all happening at once now though. Top 4 is the goal now, I'd take it.

Please stop quoting this. Sick of seeing it. If he's not up to it, he'll be gone in time.

We're screaming out for upgrades at every position. Shit defenders, one good wide player and shit central midfielders (except Carrick).

No central midfielders that control the ball and a defence that has more holes than a two dollar knock shop.

Time for a clean out. Pasture guys like Ferdinand and Evra. Really don't rate Wellbeck.

who the **** do we sign in January and who the **** would want to come here during a world cup year? and going by our luck i wouldn't be surprised when all the good performers at the WC have their prices inflated or poached by others. and that coupled with woodward's incapability at doing his job spells for another disaster waiting to happen. we need to spend big like we haven't done in quite a while. hopefully it will be a busy window like 2007

The entire team needs a turnover. We look void of ideas, lack creativity and rely on too few to get the job done. Normally December is where we make our move, certainly didn't expect it to be downwards this year.

Gives us a break from winning all the time, you need seasons like this to appreciate how the good times.
I was there thru the 80's I have seen the bad but this is worse as the side has just come off a title
