It's true though. The better teams will just belt us if we continue with the mediocre football.
We've been hearing this crap since 2006, we hardly ever win pretty. We get the job done for the most part and it's why we continue to win titles dispite hardly any 4/5 - nil wins.

We've won 6 straight, we won last night.

Relax..
Norwich bossed us after the first 15 minutes....Norwich, not Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Real Madrid but Norwich. It took until about 46 minutes to get a shot on target.

Any United fan who thinks things are on the up are kidding themselves, Chelsea, City, Arsenal and Liverpool would have cut us to pieces last night in that first half.

It says a lot about us when a guy like Welbeck comes on and turns the game

It doesn't matter how we get the three points, we won't play the same against Norwich as we would against the bigger clubs. We've played 3 games in a week and a bit and have won all three, we're getting there.

Results > performances.

You would remember a few years ago when we grinded out about 5 or 6 1-0 wins in a row and everyone was complaining that if we played like that against the bigger teams we'd lose. We won the title that year.

Get behind the boys.

The problem is that we are playing the same against the bigger clubs. We weren't even that good when we beat Arsenal. When we last played Spurs we were woeful.

Forever behind us hence getting up at 2am this morning but facts are we have players playing who are in terrible form and only half a dozen or so top player in our squad

Top Players - DDG, Rafael, Vidic, Carrick, RVP, Rooney (Rafael, RVP injured, Carrick just coming back)

Of the top players only Rafa and DDG are young

Young up and comers - Januzaj, Zaha

Players yet to hit their peak or need to be played in their preferred position - Smalling, Jones, Kagawa

Dead wood - Fletcher, Giggs, Rio, Evra, Nani, Anderson

Also the top sides all improved their squads this season....We did not, hence playing they way we use to and getting results will not be the common theme this season.

As a squad we have gone a tad backwards, really only Rooney has raised his game while the other half a dozen or so top clubs have improved

I agree our squad isn't the greatest atm, but it hasn't been for years now (bringing Scholes out of retirement highlighted that)

One thing though, I think we're all about to start seeing what Welbeck can do...

Classic example of what I said a few days ago, that was one of our better performances (apart from two utterly shit defensive efforts) and we lose.

Hernandez relies to much on service and unfortunately we provide SFA.

Can't believe we took Carrick of instead of Cleverly. Clevers is not a match winner. Again Valencia was wasteful, his crosses are low quality.

We are a bit of a shambles against half decent sides.

Not surprising at all. At least this puts all that stupid talk to bed of us still being in the title hunt, miles from the top teams atm.

Just need to get that top 4 spot, which will be a battle.

We have absolutely no creativity through the middle, our gameplan seems to be pass the ball to Valencia and hope he doesnt cross it into the defender.
