I like the optimism but it isnt our way. We buy talent that we believe will turn world class (Ronaldo, Rooney, Jones, etc) or players with league experience that we believe can take the next step (Carrick, Valencia). RVP was a world class buy but that is a rarity from us

Dont understand our decision to play Valencia/Young with Januzaj in the middle over Januzaj out wide with Kagawa in the middle. Makes no sense. If we are not going to play Kagawa then we need to sell him/or use him as bait to bring Gundogan/Reus over.

Also dont know why Jones was selected ahead of Fletcher. Sure, Jones had a very good start to the year and was one of few that could hold his head high after recent performances, but he hasnt played since Xmas. Fletcher and Carrick were great in the game beforehand, yet instead we went with Jones who was miles off the pace and extremely rusty.

Those were two decisions from Moyes which seriously cost us, and just when I thought he was starting to get a feel for his squad and make the right team/substitute selections.

In terms of transfers im still confident we can bring quality in.

All 3 of our wingers need to go, Valencia, Young, Nani, the lot of them. They are utterly useless. 26 attempted crosses with 4 that hit a team mate....and yet still no Zaha is mind bogglingo_O At least let the kid go to Cardiff on loan. We should seriously be targeting players like Salah, Gaitain etc. Reus is a very slight possibility, but Salah is young with bucket loads of potential and has already shown he can perform on the big stage, dominating chelsea not once, but twice. He's already achieved more than what the 3 previously mentioned have done in their whole career. If he's good enough for Liverpool who are chasing him then he's definitely good enough for us. But still that's not the point, he would be a quality addition regardless, we dont always have to target the big fish. We can build a quality squad with some young guns and hidden gems that are lurking out there. Basel seem to be holding out for 15mil rather than 12, I say throw them the money and be done with it.

Obviously need wingbacks. Coentrao or the newly linked Moreno would be fine by me. Just bring in someone ffs...

Next season we will have Powell back along with a fit Fellaini who is hopefully eager to prove a point. That's 2 key additions into a lackluster midfield brigade, especially if Powell can follow in the footsteps of Adnan (which I think he can to a degree). However another signing here wouldnt go astray. Doesnt have to be a world class player in Gundogan, to be honest I think someone like Cabaye would improve our midfield 10 fold straight away. We need one deep lying play maker to play alongside Carrick for now and then eventually take over his role as he ages. Moyes must be absolutely kicking himself for not going after Strootman. The other midfield addition relies on Kagawa, if he stays then all good and well. But my patience is running thin and I don't think he's cut out for them prem. Think at the end of the season we should look to cash in on him and bring a fresh face in. I'm also pissed off that United did not follow up their interest in Eriksen, another favorite of mine. That kid is pure class and have seriously strengthened our squad.

Off topic but, I see a lot of people bagging the Fellaini signing and saying he was always crap. Not sure if serious or if these people have ever watched Everton play last season or any of the seasons before that?!? Sure we took our time signing him but was it not the same people crying out that we needed a midfielder? The guy is a freak with loads of ability, Ive been a long time fan of him since he was at Liege and was pumped to see him in the prem. Has freakish athleticism for someone so tall, is very good technically and has that X factor that can win you games and produce something out of nothing. Yes, he's been incredibly average this year when he has played, but im tipping him to bounce back big next year if he works hard. He's too good not to. You dont dominate the premier league like he did then all of a sudden loose your ability over night....

Well if Moyes doesn't deliver in the summer then he will keep digging a bigger hole, especially after his recent comments about the number of 'big players' wanting to join us.

Should be easy then ey, Moyes?
