She went on to reveal that she was planning to travel to Europe to share her knowledge, using “the last of my savings” to do so.
Her partner Morgan Jonas – also an anti-lockdown activist and vocal critic of Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews – launched a crowd fundraiser for her legal defence, which raised $247,000 in just five days despite some of Ms Smit’s legal team working pro-Bono – meaning she made $50,000 a day while sitting in a cell.

Encouraging. Want to take another stab at this one?Hell no. I supported Joe Biden in 2020. I was categorically wrong
You got this one categorically wrong too, yeah?Conspiracy Theory - Coronavirus #5: We're in this together!
How much longer can this be ignored? And before anyone carries on about random people on twitter, my friend's brother died unexpectedly yesterday. Double jabbed and then became unwell, went to the hospital and was sent home because they didn't know what was wrong with him. He collapsed at home...www.bigfooty.com
Also, have you remembered what the terms of our bet were?
roflEncouraging. Want to take another stab at this one?
I mean no cos I was correct. Read the children’s vaccine policies. I’ve asked this for the 10th time basically. Read it
Oh jeez.
Somebody - somewhere! - may have been 13 and not gotten their 4 hour shift scraping rats out of the Maccas deep fry vat.
Curse you big Pharma!

I've had a look at the mandated childhood vaccinations for Australia, covid vaccine does not appear. Please point me to whatever it is you're reading and I'll be happy to do so too.
Thats not what I'm discussing with GoEaglesGoSGIO.bourbons The government's main leverage was the threat of losing your job if you didn't get jabbed. Since kids can work from the age of 13, they would've been affected if they worked in supermarkets or fast food joints for example.

They have, and it appears they were not mandated at any stage then or now.Covid vaccines have been removed from the list of recommended vaccinations for children, apart from immunocompromised etc. Previous Covid vaccine policies for children seem to have been memory holed, probably because they changed so much it would make it look like health authorities didn't know what they were doing.
Thats not what I'm discussing with GoEaglesGoSGIO.
See my link above, his comment at the time was he would literally donate his eyeballs to Stevie Wonder if the covid vax was not mandated for 5 years olds alongside other mandatory childhood vaccinations. He went on to declare it will be mandated in the next 12 months, not even a doubt about it.
Could parents be denied welfare if their child doesn’t receive a COVID vaccine?
Currently, Australian parents are only eligible for childcare subsidies and Family Tax Benefit A if their children are fully vaccinated. At present the COVID vaccine is not on that list, leaving uncertainty for Australian parents receiving child welfare payments. Given that the Australian government has historically mandated vaccinations for other diseases such as Pneumococcal, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Tetanus, and Polio under the National Immunisation Program Schedule, there is a precedent that the same could be said for COVID-19 vaccinations.
If mandated, do parents have any legal standing to refuse the vaccination of their children?
At a recent press conference, the Australian Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt was asked whether there would be a “No Jab, No Play” policy. Mr Hunt’s response suggested that there was no expectation this would occur. While a full mandate is unlikely at this stage, we are likely to see an extension of sanctions around welfare payments.

Can governments mandate a COVID vaccination?
Dr Fiona McGaughey at UWA's Law School discusses if a COVID-19 vaccine will become mandatory.www.uwa.edu.au
The schedule of childhood vaccinations was tied into a "No Jab, No Play' policy introduced in 2019. It meant restrictions on entering pre-school facilities for kids not up to date. There's no such requirement for school aged children. Instead the government leverages the issue by making certain Family Tax Benefit payments non-payable for kids not up to date.

COVID-19 Vaccine Mandates And Children | Leach Legal
Children as young as 5 could soon be eligible for the Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine after the Therapeutic Goods Administration has endorsed its use in 5-11 yearleachlegal.com.au
So we first have to decide in what sense the current childhood vaccines are 'mandatory'. I agree the Covid vaccines never made the list whatever definition of mandatory we come to.

****s sake, mate. Eagles' quote is pretty clear - he believed the covid vax would slot in alongside other mandatory childhood vaccinations which, yes, while not being 'mandatory' in the strict sense of the word, we know what it means in context - needed if you want to attend childcare, schools etc in Australia.
Additionally, he has implied this is still the case now, in 2025. Ludicrous obviously, but hey he wants me to read the "children’s vaccine policies" confirming this to be the case. I'm more than happy to do that, he just needs to link them coz its not what I'm reading.
He's actually just advised me via PM that he is banned from this thread so can't respond. I've asked him to PM them to me instead - wanna have a bet how that will go?![]()

Sorry yep, that post may have come across as critical of you, it wasn't meant to. Just frustration in dealing with Eagles, one of the most bad faith operators I've ever come across on these boards. Not sure why you're so upset with me.
Of course, you appear to be a functioning adultI agreed the Covid shots never made the childhood vaccination list.
Yep all good, as stated that wasn't what I was discussing with Eagles.I was just highlighting one aspect of the issue which you still seem confused about.
Ah ok, thought they were cheers. But yeah we're talking about the standard childhood vaccination schedule. They are not required to attend school.
They have, and it appears they were not mandated at any stage then or now.
If it wasn't specified then you'd assume they wouldn't lose benefits or school access. Other mandates of the time were fairly clearly spelled out. When the government recommended that all children aged 5 years or older should receive a two-dose course of Covid vaccine they didn't specify whether non-vax would mean parents might lose benefits or their kids not allowed into school.
You'll never be allowed to travel again.remember when COVID was meant to be some government plot to take away our freedoms and be in lockdown forever![]()
It was the 5G mobile phone towers being installed that would interact with the computer chips being injected as Covid jabs.remember when COVID was meant to be some government plot to take away our freedoms and be in lockdown forever![]()
