There is an absolute gulf between what consenting adults do amongst themselves and what adults do to kids. In no way shape or form are they the same. The anti-LGBT+ crowd tried smearing on the 'slippery slope' argument when it came to marriage equality and would dearly love to s**t that line out again if given the opportunity.

I somewhat agree, I think normalising it isn’t a good step to take, but better understanding it and finding more effective ways to stop it happening to real children is worth some effort.
