Hey everyone! In October, I will be making the big step up from the half marathons that I have done over the last 3 years and completing a full marathon. That’s 42.2kms which I will be aiming to do under 4 hours. http://melbournemarathon.com.au/events/marathon/ I am naming my run in honour of my mum who passed away in 1996 from brain cancer. If you can afford it, it would be great if you could head to the below link and donate for my run to the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. Every little bit counts! Donate here: https://melbournemarathon2017.gofundraise.com.au/page/ScottPerry2 Around 1600 people are diagnosed with brain cancer in Australia annually and approximately 1200 die from the disease every year. Brain cancer kills more children in Australia than any other disease and more people under 40 than any other cancer. Cure Brain Cancer Foundation was founded in 2001 by renowned neurosurgeon Professor Charlie Teo. The Foundation is dedicated to accelerating the development of new treatments to increase five-year to survival from the current 20% to 50% by 2023. For more information about the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, head here: http://www.curebraincancer.org.au/ If anyone wants to come and watch me finish at the 'G (and carry me home), please keep Sunday the 15th of October free! Thanks everyone!
