Yawn. Another Murphy vs. Thomas thread.
Why don't I see Carlton supporters starting any Kennedy vs. Pendlebury threads?

His name is now Bank
Please don't insult the real Mr. Kennedy like that. If only Josh Kennedy was as half as good he is, you might have a decent player on your hands.

Btw, Sir Marcos Murphy is a god, and one of the few Carlton players I actually like. But can we pleeeeaaasseee stop with the Thomas vs. Murphy threads, it is a joke. They are both good players and both supporters of both teams are happy with the selections. Enough is enough.

C'mon i could get 30 disposals in that **** Carlton midfield. It's hardly note worthy.

Murphy is a gun no doubt, but he went pick #1, pies never had a chance at getting him so why the comparison.

No one has seen Pendlebury do anything special that would make us question the decision to pick Kennedy and you're grasping at straws.
Did you not see Pendles steal on Paul Williams against Sydney last year? Pendles > Josh Kennedy. I don't think I've seen Kennedy do anything... at all.

I saw Kennedy once take a mark...

Then five games later, he took another mark and kicked a goal...

Then he thought, "that's enough for me, and decided not to do anything else... at all"

Good point, very quite about Kennedy are the blues supporters. Kennedy went at 4 and Pendles at 5 - Pendles proving he was the much better pick!

While I would love to have Pendles in the Carlton midfield at present, at the time of that draft, we were never going to take anyone other than Kennedy with our #4 pick, he is a KPP, apparently with bags of potential... which I haven't seen yet, but anyway...

You obviously didn't watch his game against west Coast then...
He probably did, but is too embarrassed to admit he changed the channel because the Blues were getting absolutely smashed. And was tired of seeing Tom Hawkins do more in one game than Kennedy has done in his 11.

Admittedly, while Hawkins had a fantastic debut, if I debuted for Essendon next week and played on Whitnall, I would have an impact too, Whitnall is so far off the boil at the moment, it's embarrassing to watch him toil out on the field looking so out of his depth.

But Hawkins lead well, contested hard, chased, put pressure on, kicks the ball a mile, and he has some genuine foot speed, and at only 18 years of age, he is already a man mountain, he's going to get so much better, he is going to be an absolute gun by the time he's 20 years old

Where as Kennedy will be in the top10 draft pick dud pile with Luke Livingston, and Jason Wild.
