Admittedly, while Hawkins had a fantastic debut, if I debuted for Essendon next week and played on Whitnall, I would have an impact too, Whitnall is so far off the boil at the moment, it's embarrassing to watch him toil out on the field looking so out of his depth.
But Hawkins lead well, contested hard, chased, put pressure on, kicks the ball a mile, and he has some genuine foot speed, and at only 18 years of age, he is already a man mountain, he's going to get so much better, he is going to be an absolute gun by the time he's 20 years old
