murphy was generall accepted to be the pick of that draft and collingwood would have loved to have got him. he is the better of the 3 by far but given the low stocks of both teams at the time of the draft, i think carlton would prefer those two and kennedy aswell rather than just murphy and kennedy. so i would rather have picks 2 and 5 rather than pick 1.
carlton supporters act as if we passed up on murphy to get thomas.we would have taken murphy if we had the 1st pick, but if kennedy becomes a luke livingston i would be concerned if i were carlton.
We can't really compare those stats. Gibbs and Heath Shaw are currently playing off the backline and thomas is a forward. So stats don't really matter. It is what you do with the ball

There you go, that stat has been bought up in two threads I've read.
Murphy is the most promising draft pick of the last 3 years. Walker is extremely underrated by opposition and is improving on his faboulous 2006 form. Gibbs is racking up 15+ possies without even getting in the midfield. Seriously this is a no contest.
Not one our better efforts granted. By the way, how'd your pumped-up tryhards do against the team we accounted for comfortably the previous week? Nice gesture by Denis playing Lance on the first gamer. Lance would have learned a lot from the kid. Interesting looking at both their body shapes. One still has a fair bit of puppy fat to lose. Hawkins on the other hand looked pretty trim.

Perhaps they lost focus after they kept talking up each other last week. I lost count of how many Bulldogs players called one of their team-mates "..better than Judd..". I guess chip-kicking is only one skill of the game.
