Simon Mcphee was a better coach and developer of players IMHO.. but you cant argue with the amount of success that has followed Webb wherever he goes :thumbsu:

Maybe- depends on how they come along this year as to whether he gets sacked.

I would disagree with your usage of term cutting when Goddard leaves due to F/Agency, NDS will probably get traded and Mcevoy got traded for a quick midfielder which is what they need.

Anyways as for Webb- all Im saying is that his development as a coach is hindered by the fact that all of his coaching experience is at clubs on upswing and that its hard to get as gauge on how good he is as a coach given the talent he has coached, much the same as Watters at Subi.

;)

Perhaps Webb was the driving force at Subi as well (as captain and assistant)

I agree with you on both points, however I am overjoyed that Mcphee couldnt coach them to a win in 2010.

Espically with the cattle he could call upon.

Had a lot of AFL players running around in that team.
I count zero AFL players in the prelim final team. East Perth has a bunch of Eagles (insert gag about them not being AFL players either).

It appears the last time they had an AFL player actually play was in round 20 (Silvagni and Macginnity). If memory serves Silvagni was specifically held out from the finals by Fremantle.

Sorry should have specified Ex- AFL players my mistake.

Hi guys, sorry to intrude: I reckon he will be a great get for you guys.

I grew up playing junior footy with him in Melbourne. He was always very talented as a player when he was young but what he did since he moved to Perth after school finished is pretty amazing and impressive, to captain a WAFL side to multiple premierships and then coach one to a premiership is no mean feat. He has worked his arse off and made a real name for himself in his adopted home and is a really down to earth bloke with a great footy brain. You could do a lot, lot worse than having him involved with the young blokes at your club as he has done things the hard way and because of that should be a really positive influence on them. I hope (and reckon) he'll be a success! :thumbsu:
