With just under a week to go, the latest Sunday Mail opinion poll is saying that the Libs are in front 51-49 (Brad Crouch wrote the article though, and he makes Rucci look like a star journalist). However, with other recent opinion polls that Labor will retain Bright and Newlands, I still can't see the Libs gaining enough seats to win.

Fingers and toes still crossed for a hung parliament!

Good to see another $400 million dollars has been found to upgrade the Adelaide Convention Centre and River Torrens promenade. Hear i was thinking a $1 billion dollar sports stadium would bankrupt the state but no, since then the ALP have found $500 million for a second freeway down south and $400 million for this project.

Foley won't get near the premiership Jo. Definitely lacks the personal support for that role. Its an open race, but my bet is Weatherill will be the next premier.

Would need to be some pretty sweet-talking of the Factions to make that a reality.

It's a disgrace isn't it?

It really does anger me (forget whether you agree with the need for a new stadium or not), that the argument is clouded in bullshit about whether or not we can afford it - then in the leadup to the Election, billions of dollars magically appear.

We aren't getting a City Stadium because Labor wont back down about the Marj - not because we can't afford it.

haha absolute gold.

Seriously though can The Advertiser please get over Michelle Chantelois, they have some special interview thing on Adelaide Now with her atm. Also with Rick Phillips - who cares if he was at the Clipsal so were 100 million other people !

Why is all I've been saying this morning about that interview. Having said that I'm not sure whether it's been concoted to give Chantelois another 2 minutes of fame or if it's Nestor desperately clinging onto her media career...

Probably a bit of both.

Chantelois and her husband aren't celebrities, even in competition with the D-grade dudes we seem to fawn over here. If she wants to keep throwing daggers at Rann, let her, but otherwise, ignore her.

I am getting the feeling that the Liberals are actually frightened now that they might win this election, which means they will have to follow through on their promises.

They have chosen to clearly distinguish themselves from the Government by providing an alternative view on just about everything whether they believe it or not. I fear they will be out of their depth once they get in.

Fake it until you make it.

It has worked for many leaders in the past, why not Redman?

It's the anti-Kevin Rudd strategy who offered the same view on everything whether he believed it or not:p

It is the same stance that Abbott is taking. He is making a clear distinction between the parties by taking opposing stances to everything Rudd does and at the same time breathing life back into conservative politics.

Here is my take on what happens if Redmond becomes Premier next Saturday.

Within 12 months, she will be gone, the boys in the Liberal Party will see to that (given she is non-aligned). She is there for one reason only, they had no alternative when they decided to get rid of MHS last July.

Hahahha, completely irrational.

If she wins what quite frankly was an impossible victory when she takes over the Libs will have a messiah complex and she'll be more likely to be able to run the party like a despot!

I think you're confusing factional systems, whilst the Libs exist, they're no where near as entrenched or as powerful as the ALP.

I'm swinging to Liberals :/

Care to elaborate?

(As a Norwood resident you should educate yourself about Bunton v Cicarello to get a full grasp on the woman)
