I'm rather fond of how the Ragvertiser has been pumping Isobel's tyres for a fortnight, and have already declared her the winner.

They really have been egging on the "too close to call" scenario to try and squeeze as many news cycles as they can out of it.

"Labor in all likelihood set to retain government with a reduced majority" just doesn't have the same amount of dazzle.

Well he did fall on his sword and step down as Road Safety minister - appropriate punishment IMO. Anyway it was 12+ months ago when it happened and surprisingly the Libs haven't gone after him during the campaign.

They should've gone after him.

Things like the alleged Rann affair, I think they did the right thing by staying away from, but TKo's failings weren't of a personal nature.

He's not that popular within his own Party either.

was abortsa hiding under the title of independant or something?
I couldn't see it flashing out at me

ended up going
1. Liberals
2. Greens
3-6. randoms
7. Family First
8. saveRAH
generally the same for the upper house

Adelaide is a massive wildcard still. Alot of resentment to labor, alot of resentment to Jlo.

Massive investment of time/money from Libs also, but still can't see if being enough to get the >10% swing required to dethrone JLo. She is supposedly quite popular within her electorate as well, much like Atkinson is popular within his electorate .

He's not that popular within his own Party either.

Kouts has a ridiculously strong backing from the Labor Unity faction. One of his best mates is Peter Malinauskas who has taken over as Secretary of the SDA after Don Farrell left to become a federal ALP Senator. In short it doesn't really matter whether he is liked by the other MPs/MLCs he's got strong backing where it counts.

I ended up going:-

1. Democrat.
2. Labor.
3. Green.
4. Family First.
5. Liberal.

Just did an above the line vote for the Legislative Council.

Anyone see the newspoll in the Australian this morning? 52-48 libs way with the alps primary vote plummeting and Isobel Redmond taking the lead as preffered Premier.

Should make for an interesting night if it holds true.

Yea I know - same as Atkinson :(

we only had 4 options for the house of assemblyof paper and 72 for Legislative council

the second one just got a 1 from me

Pretty much.

Not really any point numbering all those parties which you really dont know anything about, and when theres no way the vote would ever flow that far down anyway.

The swings are going both ways - Morialta and Norwood are gone but Newland and Hartley will stay with ALP by all accounts.

The Liberals problem at the moment is they are getting 10% swings in safe ALP seats. Some of that swings isn't going to Liberals and probably will come back to the ALP via preferences (some don't like Rann but won't go over to what they see is the dark side)
