I gotta say, either brilliant or stupid strategy by Labor.

Their best local members in Piccolo, Fox and Portolesi able to fight off huge uniform swings against whilst others much more deserving of huge swings such as Conlon etc. have safe enough buffers to live through.

Of course its the strategy, you don't stick your faves anywhere other than dead cert seats, Tony and Grace are good on the ground and are young, they will be looked after regardless by the Party. If they get ousted they know that they will be looked after.

You only had to see some of the Lib candidates, they looked like Year 12 students, all thrown to the wolves in ALP heartland but you don't waste your talent and you make the new earn their stripes. They won't be forgotten come 2014 and beyond.

I couldnt afford to vote libral as mum and I work at TAFE and Libs would of gotten rid of it as soon as they were able to

honestly, where do these things come from.

a political party is not out to get anyone, or only legislate for their friends. Regardless of what party you are talking about.

the Libs havee wanted to do 2 things for years - either privatise TAFE or replace it with 'super collages'

And 'these things' are common knowledge inside TAFE but are never told to the public......'these things' came from taking to those who worked in TAFE for years. Mum has worked for 19 years and this plan by the Libs has been known for 10 of those at least.

If this ever happend, the idea of people being able to afford tersery(sp?) education will be long gone

Look, I'm not trying to be mean but this is absolutely terrifying.

There are plenty of private RTOs (Registered Training Organisations) already. They do the same job as TAFE though generally you don't need to attend 4 days a week for a year to obtain a Cert III.

i gather you talking about the Grammar rather than the story?

if the content wasn't so freakishly ridiculous, then the grammar would be an issue too.

I mean honestly, a secret conspiracy 10 years in the making, known only in the corridors of power within TAFE... who can stop them?

when does it get released on the big screen.

you think this is some sort of joke - as knowing a hell of alot of people who are affected by this I am not laughing

Onto some news that should make some happy http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/attor...quit-front-bench/story-e6frea6u-1225843341005

If I actually thought it was even 1% true, I'd agree that it's not a joke. But consdering there is absolutely no proof or evidence, and the Liberals didn't do it last time they were in power, and to do it now would be political suicide, then yes, I think it's a joke. You know a hell of a lot of people who are affected by.... outlandish and unfounded rumours?

And good to see - Atkinson was always going to be under pressure, but the result fo the election and the swing against him and the ALP means his position is almost untenable.

I think you are having a laugh. not the same thing.

there is no "this" and no one is affected by a crazy conspiracy theory concocted by an over fertile imagination.

Even without the mysterious "one political party on the side of good holding back the the forces of evil" slant it wouldn't be credible or believable.

I mean seriously do you really think the Liberal party meet in some under ground cave, wearing ceremonial robes discussing how to secretly silence the TAFE's without the public ever finding out? and somehow, a rogue seeker of truth and justice infiltrated this secret society, and has been trying for 10 years to get the message out?

honestly do you really believe that.

was abortsa hiding under the title of independant or something?
I couldn't see it flashing out at me

ended up going
1. Liberals
2. Greens
3-6. randoms
7. Family First
8. saveRAH
generally the same for the upper house

Riggy - no offence mate, but your political naivety is showing by your irrational order above and other comments you have made along the way.
I understand from some of your earlier statements that you have basically a very leftist leaning philosophy which in itself is fine, but you display a lack of understanding of where parties/peoples/ideas fit in the political spectrum.
I dont know your age nor your background, and i admire your enthusiasm in your postings.
If you ever wish to expand your political awareness, please feel free to have a drink and a discussion sometime.
PS Having said all that, stick to your guns and dont let criticisms deter you... rather, just improve you.

I know where I stand
and I know what is best

a Liberal vote was best for this state

a Greens vote was best for me

but this is about the needs of the many not the needs of the few
