Think they had to operate again on the finger. Has foot injury that is of more concern. But if fit he is a weapon - no doubt Freo do a medical and say no if he is chronic.

Let's put it his way - Adams is already better than the player Carlton hope Marchbank becomes and GWS are asking for P5 or P13 (if the Blues get it).

Actually sickens me how good Adams is (not will be - is). If Freo got him for 20 or equivalent value they need to reopen the old gaol and lock themselves in there for robbery.

Adams has apparently said he is happy to play with us next year if a fair trade can't be done. FYI.

Hamling this year and Adams next year then is it? Not too bad.

Fun time of year this. Haven't been this excited about trade period in a long time.

Collins and 35 for Hamling and Adams? Collins is a quality player also and would fill a gap left.
 
35 & next year's 2nd for Adams & Hamling? 35 is probably overs for Hamling, next year's 2nd probably unders for Adams, net result is pretty even?

Yeah, just picked that up. On injuries; so some question marks, but nothing of major concern from what we can tell at this stage

I can't see how this will get done this year. Unless Dogies willing to take 2nd round (this or next) or some combo. No way we'll give up 7, even for a bunch of lower picks. Probably better for everybody to leave it. You get another year of service out of him and, who knows, another year settling down at the club and he might sign on rather than move back here. We get to see how he bounces back from surgeries etc. and then offer what would probably still be unders, but not hugely different to what we'd be able to offer this year.

Can't see it happening this year really unless somebody becomes really generous.
 
Poster on the main board saying that Collins was rumoured to be in Vic to look at the Melbourne clubs facilities. Collins involved in the Adams deal Like for like and both going home.

Unless it's fair or overs - I'd rather he stayed. Far and away our best KPD.

Gives the Dogs a year to work on retaining him.

Tell me about this Collins guy - I haven't watched many Freo games this year to be honest...
 
I know we don't want to do it, and it will go against everything I have said about keeping the high pick but I would consider Pick 7 for Adams + 18 and maybe a swap of their 2nd for our 3rd.

Adams can be VERY good for this team

Obviously the 7th pick is the last resort, if we can use Collins and keep pick 7 that is much better.

And it's that first year that's the hardest. Heard a number of players (especially interstate players) say that first year is the tough one, then it settles down. Of course, Adams has unique situation and is mature player, so it's less likely he'll change his mind, but you never know.

Ex Box Hill KPD, was in leadership team from 19yo (or 20). I think was in winning side a few seasons back. 194cm, 92kg 22yo.

I would love to keep him but if we had to give him up to get Hamling and Adams then sadly we would have to do it.

And repeat surgery on his finger. Posted something about about it. BRWB provided an answer. There is some question marks, but nothing concrete to worry about, that's how I read it. Clubs will do medical tests and the like before they commit.

Solid as an Ox and not scared to throw his weight around. Battled hard and took some scalps in 2016 when our backline was under immense pressure most of the year. Pretty composed with ball in hand and doesn't panic. Disposal sound but not elite. Height: 194cm Weight: 92kg Date of birth: 15 June 1994

He's an AFL player no doubt about it.

Like for like. Key defenders, same age ,Adams pick 35,Collins 36. Both great marks, big kicks but can turn it over.Both built like brick shithouses. Collins has no injury probs. Swap would get them both home. Whats not to like .:)
