The time has gone when you can have an abundance of depth on your list. If a player isn't getting game and thinks he could else where then he'll leave.

I would like Freo to offer Bulldogs a future second for Adams and forget about Hamling. If we could trade Collins for Hamling then I'd be happy with that though. It's pointless going after Kersten when he's not a likely starter and the same goes with Hamling with Collins and even BHill with all our young outside players. I don't want to turn into Collingwood who just keep getting average players in which consequently costs young players development and be happy floating in a limbo of nothingness. If a player isn't going to be in the top 15 players of our starting team and we have a player that can do a similar job on our list, I'd prefer to go to the draft.

Might need another club involved. Something like

Freo get: pick 14, Adams, Hamling
Freo lose: pick 7, pick 35

Sydney get: pick 7
Sydney lose: pick 14, pick 17

Dogs get: pick 17, pick 35
Dogs lose: Adams, Hamling

Not sure whether Freo deserve applause or a giant FU for their KPP rebuild this off season. Probably both.
Tell me about this Collins guy - I haven't watched many Freo games this year to be honest...

He had a massive year at Box Hill before drafted. He was our best kpb for Peel before getting the nod and playing most of the second half of the season for Freo.

Has clean hands, good kick and good decision maker. Maybe lacks a touch of pace.

Can your leach of a club please hurry up and go bankrupt, to ease the looting process? A flag won't change your minnow status and massive debt.

Love Freo, my second favourite team. If Adams does leave I hope it's to the Dockers and not the dirty Eagles. He's an absolute gun. Strong, fast, marks instead of punching and has a punishing, accurate 60M zone busting kick out of the backline. Looked very comfortable and accomplished in only his first year, our best KPD so would be very valuable at Freo. Going to be tough to work out a deal though as he is contracted and you don't have any picks in that 10-20 range where his value is.

Solid trade scenario, just not sure the Swans would agree to it, losing a lot of points draft wise. I would def be happy with that though.

Would rather use the Mayne compo on Adams than Hill but that's water under the bridge

WCE - Eric Mackenzie is not on the table
Herald Sun - Adams wants to go home
WCE - Eric Mackenzie is very much on the trade table
Bulldogs would not want Mac - he seems like a competent one on one defender but seems to get lost in a zone defence, which is why he's on the outer at WCE. Bulldogs play a similar defensive zone as WCE.

Our issue is that our KPDs are slow or young so not quite there yet (Cordy) but we have two quick ones - Hamling and Adams.
Losing both would hurt a lot, and Hamling on the way out has been mooted for months.

Looks like Adams is too difficult to complete this year being a contracted player. The smart move, no actually the very smart move, is to leave this for a year (he is happy to stay at bullies this year) and revisit this when we say goodbye to Dawson and Johnson at the end of next year.

Secondly, Adams has a significant foot injury, let the injury drama play out at WB, if there are any further problems you leave the trade alone or you benefit from a significantly lower trade offer.

Everyone back on the Hamlin and Kersten train they will seriously help next years team and are out of contract. They came to lunch in Freo yesterday together it is all good.

We are the new family club reuniting brothers and best mates:D

I simply don't believe that we aren't interested in a player that we wanted in last years draft. Until someone from the club says it, I'm still hoping we can strike a fair deal with you guys and get him over this year. He would be huge for us.

I am of the same opinion. We would be silly not to look in getting Adams over to Freo.

We'll go hard on Adams if Hamling falls through. Hamling is the priority because of his significant points of difference, he's uncontracted and good friends with Kersten.

Yep the "not interested" seems like incorrect info or a bluff to try and not look too keen / lower his value when the Dockers casually ask about him in a few days. Fits Freo perfectly and you definitely liked him pre-draft, only come on leaps and bounds since.

Fox so take it with a grain of salt
Jake Niall is an upgrade on your usual blethering idiot journo so if he's saying it at least he won't be making it up.
It is consistent with the lay of the land though, particularly if Freo think they're a good chance with Joel.
Next year might be different.
