A kid by the name of Marcus Allan, son of Gubby, is training at Brisbane in the hope of being rookie listed.

Good young prospect. Played for QLD in the recent national championships. Was not without prospect of getting drafted with a late pick. No doubt the Lions will have a good look at him and may draft him as a rookie.

Leigh Matthew's wouldn't allow Gubby to see him play.
Gubby Allan wasn't given leave to fly to Melbourne and watch the under-18 championships. He was required to fulfil his duties with the Lions. Nothing in it.

Marcus is a very good footballer who has been playing well for his whole life. Used to play with him back in juniors

Hopefully a Melbourne club like Collingwood picks him up, then Gubby may return home as well

Hope he doesnt punch the opposition's runner like his father did in the 1990 Grand Final!
The reason Gubby punched the Essendon runner was because the scumbag, pathetic essendon dimwit said, when Gavin Brown had been knocked out, that it was about time someone did that to him.

What a load of rubbish!

Anyway, a very handy player Marcus, but he does have some good local prospects to contend with as suggested above - so it will be an interesting watch

Is that crap. That's funny seeing i know Gubby and he told me what happened. How would you know what went on when you weren't out there. Gubby has never hit anyone before in his life and that is the reason he hit someone that day. Perfect punch as well I might add. And the cops never asked the essendon maggot to pursue (not persue) criminal charges at all. Funny how you're such an expert when you know nothing.

I know someone working at Collingwood at the time of the 1990 Grand Final and he verifies exactly Matt123's version of events of the Essendon runner making a smartass comment about Gavin Brown when he was on the ground knocked out. 100% right Matt123.

Nice try Matt123... very easy to make up such an 'original' name. Maybe you should have called yourself 'Captain Obvious'???
