I could only really see Dangerfield challenging him for that title

Heeney would be close (3 times this season) although not as often as those 2. Merrett another one courtesy of often playing a lone hand at times. Fyfe, although most of his would be several years ago. Petracca another one but again probably more a case of a purple patch over a couple of seasons than consistently doing it like Bontompelli and Dangerfield.

Andrew McLeod, Luke Hodge, Brent Harvey, David Mundy, Nigel Lappin, Josh Kennedy, Lenny Hayes, Scott Pendelbury. All haven't won a brownlow, all payers that either are, or I would suspect will be Hall of Fame inductees to name a few more. Traditionally sides at the bottom half of the top 8 of the top half of the bottom 8 or 10 are the teams players win a brownlow from. The reason being most of the top teams have several players performing well that take votes off each other, eg Sydney last year.
