if you drop your midfield, it could turn the game into a close quarters scrap where essendon have a chance...

seriously though, everything seems to suggest we'll lose

* we haven't won a night game all year
* we are horrible interstate
* we struggle in the rain
* we struggle on large grounds

Still, i dont think essendon will lay down and die without a fight. We have some exciting youngsters in Lovett, Bradley, Laycock and Stanton, and some quality players with bruised egos. Hopefully for me (but not for you), they will see the list above as motivation to turn things around.

Hey guys just wondering if anyone here is involved with the banner. Seeing as tomorrow night looks like being windy & wet, what happens with the banners, do they just give it a miss? I am on the Bomber banner squad, but can't see it happening if the weather is crap.

Should probably be a comfortable win. Hopefully we put up a decent effort, though.

Any chance you can have the Eagles play blind folded for the game instead? (maybe, just maybe that'd even it out a little.)

What do you mean?

Are you suggesting Essendon are a chance to win the midfield battle, or that we won't select Cousins, Cox, Judd, Fletcher, Kerr, Embley, Stenglein, Chick, Braun, Selwood and Nicoski to play?

I'm not sure which suggestion is more ridiculous.

I can't say I have actually paid much attention to if the banner still happens or not. I don't recall a game where the eagles haven't had a banner though, and I have been to a fair few wet games, so i think the Eagles still have one. Many visiting teams have gone without though, often on Sunny days, i guess due to lack of support, at least of support knowing who to contact to get it happening.

I'd suggest the latter and that he wasn't being entirely serious.

Wow, 26% of you think that you'll win by 80-100 points on what could be a wet and windy night. Well, I'll give it to you - you've got arrogance in bucketloads.

Can you prove it was all Eagles supporters who voted that margin?
I didn't think so.
The majority still says 21-40, which is what i would pick taking the conditions into account.

I reckon you'll be pretty well to win

I reckon you'll be doing pretty well to make the finals

Just questioning why so many people would predict Eagles to win by 80 -100 on a night like this. Pretty optimistic I'd think.

BTW, we won't beat the Swans, you're right. What am I meant to say, that we'll beat them by 80 - 100 pts +.
