Congrats on the win Chaisa

If only I still had a Joker lol
Mate you don't need it. 111 so far this week and potentially another 60-70 next week.

I know, but 222 sounds so much better :p
I hear ya. Wish I didn't waste my joker last week. Might have a chance to knock you off lol.

What a weekend of results. Chaisa has an almost unassailable lead at this point and can only lose if the Premier comes into play which is interesting because all four of the top four have missed out on Richmond for it. The funny thing is, NorthernLights could win if Collingwood win the flag and North and Freo have upset wins - the gap between the two is 165 points - given Collingwood's biggest win of the season is 61 points, that means St Kilda and Freo have to win by a combined 105 points. Somehow I can't see that happening.

At the other end of the table, CakeEater could find himself off the bottom if a repeat effort of last week occurs and Adelaide is upset by Carlton - a 133 point win means Carlton only need to win by seven points to knock raskolnikov down to last place.... somehow I can't see this happening either but hey, just trying to inject some life into the contest lol.

Pick of the week was pretty easy this week - clearly myself and Chaisa get it for the 133 point demolition Geelong did on Freo while miss of the week is harsh but I'm giving it to Billy ray and Raveneyes for West Coast even though Cakey used his joker on Carlton to get double points - losing at home to Melbourne is inexcusable and those 17 lost points should have been about 50 in the positive.

I only need tips from nine of you this week - random.org is on Essendon this week so if you miss your pick, you revert to Essendon or as always alphabetically to the next available. There are no restrictions this week amazingly. If anybody in green wants to change their tip/premier please let me know though I will only tag those who are left to tip.

Finally, even if you haven't gotten the choccies this year, there's a chance for a bit more fun with the finals tipping coming up. Pretty simple, the top eight compete for this and are assigned a place based on their finishing position at the end of the home and away (ie premier does not come into effect here) - they face off in the same games that the actual teams face off so for instance 1st on the ladder and 4 on the ladder face off in Richmond versus whoever finishes first. Each person nominates their margin for that game and closest to the pin gets the win.

Thanks all of you for participating this year, hopefully I can get some more on board next year - been a lot of fun!

Here's the ladder:

NorthernLights
Collingwood v Fremantle
Fremantle v Collingwood
Default = Fremantle, Premier: Collingwood

Probably not the worst thing in the world if you don't get your pick in lol

Wooshette
Fremantle v Collingwood
Sydney v Hawthorn
Default = Fremantle, Premier: Sydney

Ditto for NL - that's the best case scenario - I like your chances, Sydney could be anything...

Agent93
Richmond v Bulldogs
St Kilda v north melbourne
Default = Richmond, Premier: St Kilda

YUCK. Either way, you're screwed my man but I'd swap that and see if you can get some higher final placing. Up to you though.

Billy ray
North melbourne v St Kilda
Richmond v Bulldogs
Default = North melbourne, Premier: Richmond

Again, not a bad option to just leave it. You have one joker remaining so probably a good idea to whack that on North or you lose it. Your choice though of course :)

Smeg Head

Adelaide v Carlton
Richmond v Bulldogs

Default = Richmond, Premier: Adelaide

I don't think I need to tell you that the smart thing to do is swap - also, you have a joker left so again, apply it or it goes bye bye...

Richmond v Bulldogs
Sydney v Hawthorn

Default = Richmond; Premier: Sydney

Probably one of the better remaining selections as I'd be happy with either of them for premier (although Sydney does still have a few injury worries) Safe option is to swap but I wouldn't blame you for leaving it as is. Also, you get one last joker as well.

raskolnikov

GWS v Melbourne
St Kilda v North

Default = GWS; Premier: St Kilda

These poor bastards with St Kilda left - at least GWS are still a chance for the premeriership so I know what I would be doing ;)

NaturalDisaster
Fremantle v Collingwood
Richmond v Bulldogs

Default = Fremantle; Premier: Richmond

No brainer. leave it. Or don't and fail. up to you.

Freofalcon

Adelaide v Carlton
Essendon v Port

Default = Essendon; Premier: Adelaide

Ouch - another crap one - you've got no chance for the premier either so just go for who will have the bigger win. I smell an upset in both of these games so I'd go Essendon but even if you don't pick, they are your default. Up to you.

yep, north with a joker this week thanks OES , and Richmond for premiers.

thanks for all your work on this - been great. haven't been in any tipping competition for over a decade, nor take any interest in supercoach etc, but this has been fun. hopefully I make the top 8!

Yeah, look I'm pretty sure the Saints aren't going to win the premiership this year, or ever, so I'll swap.

Given that I can't win, but I can make finals, I might need to rethink.

Tigers v Dogs at the MCG
Roos v Saints at Docklands

Both teams should win. Both should win with a reasonable margin. Roos have nothing more to play for, while the Tigers might rest a few players here and there and while I doubt they'd choose to lose, they don't really have anything to gain from going hard for the win. But, they're a much better side than the Dogs, while the Roos aren't really that much better than St. Kilda.

Hmm.

I may change once the teams are in, but for now I think I'll stick with Norf.

Just to clarify. Higher place gets to pick second right? In finals?
