Most on here would agree with you if Spencer wasn't contracted for another year.
Last piece to the puzzle seems most likely to be Wonamaerri or Fitzpatrick, with Macdonald an outside chance.

I think the consensus is for one of those two (Fitzpatrick/Wonaeamirri) to be dropped down to the rookie list.
Shallow draft, rubbish picks. No point delisting any further players altogether (Juice excepted).
With McNamara, Johnston and Campbell going this week, and Juice to go soon, we would have four picks in the RD (with one of Fitz/Wonna to be taken).

The whole shallow draft thing is why I'd rather delist someone who we aren't going to keep once their contract runs out rather than delist someone we'd rather keep but who's out of contract.
Even with the issues he's had, I reckon most teams would look at picking up a small forward with a proven record of ripping games apart like Wonna with pick 73 or something in the National Draft rather than some kid noone else rates. Same goes for Fitzey: young tall who's had some health issues but has definately shown a bit at the end of this year in the VFL. Whereas Spencer is a not-that-good proponent of a fast dying art: the hitout specialist who gives you nothing around the ground.

Personally, I am a bit disappointed. Maric really impressed me in that game against Adelaide, he showed exactly why we used pick 21 on him; clean disposal, bursts of speed and great goal sense. Such a pity we couldn't get a deal done during trade week.

Spencer is not going anywhere.
He was injured this year and will have another year to show what he is worth.
If he was uninjured this year he would have been ahead of Gawn and would have been playing well in the VFL.
It will be interesting to see how the new coach goes with him.

Delist Fitzpatrick for me, now we have Clarke we have enough talls and doubt he'll get many games in the near future.
Should keep wona now that Maric is gone and keep macdonald for experience and depth.
We should keep Spencer as he is under contract until next year and need players to delist for next years super draft when we have the 2 Scully compo picks to use, Bate, Bartrim, Bennel, Dunn, Jetta will need big years to survive.

I really dont understand why you would say this just because we have Clark we now think we have too many talls. Dont think about now think in 4 years time it will allow the likes of Fitz to grow and take time to fullfill their potential (put Cook into that list as well) Good talls dont grow on trees and if we have time to develop them lets do it. Why keep Wona he didnt even want to play thi year.
Talls take time .. in two years he could be a champ.
What? Gawn showed more in one game than Spencer has in his entire career, Spencer is done and rightfully so.

And you need to know that there's no such thing.
If you delist him and he's still around by your last pick in the rookie draft, you can pick him up.

We have 8 195cm+ Forwards and Rucks, and imo Fitzpatrick would be in 8th spot at getting a game next year.
Spencer is ahead of him as he is more developed and is a better ruckman anyway, Gawn is a better ruck prospect than him and Cook is a better forward prospect than him.
Most of our big guys are still pretty young.

So in 4 years time its possible that they all mght still be here, Jamar the only one close to retirement and the others are more talented than Fitzpatrick is, I can't see him getting many games this coming year or many in 4 years time and beyond. I would draft him as a rookie to further develop him and see how he goes but i wouldn't keep him on the senior list, and if some other club picks him up before we can I don't think it would be a huge loss.
As for Wona, if he is dedicated and commited to playing next year he'll get many games, Fitzpatrick won't, to me he is just wasting a spot for us.

I'm aware he's contracted. That doesn't mean you can't delist him. It didn't stop North axing Urquhart last week. If no-one else picks him up they've committed to rookie-listing him, which is what I'm suggesting you guys do with Spencer.
Ok I see where we are missing each other.
I thought there was a rule restricting the re-rookying of a senior player if they have already more than 3 years on the rookie list.
Hopefully I am incorrect, because if we are able to rookie him then great.
