Apparently Yoshi has been training his arse off all week in preperation for another of his bogey courses, Toad's Turnpike, on Saturday. Asked whether the home crowd would influence him negatively, Yoshi replied with a "Yoshi!"

Also asked about the following courses, he answered "Yoshi"

Asked about his training, he replied, rather pissed off, "Yoshi"

Toads Turnpike 50cc

Yoshi has been supposedly stated to have said that he did not mind the traffic. Toad, who trains regularily at this course, is hot favourite for a victory. The course itself, has few turns and is on road, so will favour heavyweights.

Apparently Mario Kart was meant to be played with 8 players, as it is, but instead of Donkey Kong, Kamek, Bowser's adoptive parent, was meant to be included.

There was a very tight finish at Toad's Turnpike as in the final straight, Yoshi, clearing the pack, slipped on a banana peel, allowing Peach and Donkey Kong to overtake him. Yoshi sprinted to the end, and the three crossed over the line pretty much together. It would have been an outstanding achievement for Yoshi to reach first after being seventh at the start of the final lap. The heavy traffic Yoshi encountered at the start proved too strong.

Frappe Snowland


Yoshi, DK and Peach all impressed last week and it would be expected a top four finish is in the bag for all of them. The race, on snow, not gravel, favours the lightweights. Peach should get home in a thriller

DK stormer

DK has stormed home to another win in a tightly contested race in a blizzard. DK burst away in a pack with Peach and Yoshi in the final lap. Yoshi, halfway through the last lap, hit an obstacle, a snowman in the way of the course. He then set fire on Peach and Wario, nailing both repetitively. Peach regained the ascendancy, and started to catch up to DK, but it was all too late.

Choco Mountain

A dirt road course, should be dominated by the light weights. However, DK's good form should be taken into consideration. Toad is a smokey, but will not be a mover today. A personal favourite of Yoshi.

The Predictions were nearly spot on as Peach, Yoshi and DK contested another close race. However, Yoshi ensured he wasn't going to lose a favourite of his and sprinted away midway through the third lap, leaving Peach and DK trailing. Wario, in good form, held fourth the whole way.

Yoshi looks like he will miss out on the championship cup unless he can do extremely well. He must come first, then, to have any chance at the cup, must force DK to come third or lower, and Peach second or lower and hope that he qualifies as the winner of the cup. I don't think he can. The course should favour heavyweights.

Yoshi has finished second overall after DK made a last minute recovery, stealing second, ahead of Peach, and condemning Yoshi to a missing cup from the cabinet.

DK has stormed home to take the 50cc Flower cup ahead of Yoshi and Peach in a closely contested battle today. DK, needing second or higher to be assured his cup, got second, leaving Yoshi and Peach lamenting what could have been. The competition restarts in 2 weeks.

Golf To Fix Depression

Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and Peach are all going down to Toad Highands Golf Course today to try to shake off the disappointment of unsuccessful "karting" ventures. There will be betting involved as to spice up the competition.

Mario, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi are all trying to shake off the disappointment of their Karting campaigns with a game of golf at Toad Highlands. Yoshi is expected to play a relaxed game of golf, but the activity appears a good time for Luigi and Mario to get some good competition time between them.
