Probably been in the limelight so long that he thought he was invincible and could get away with anything. Also probably couldnt adapt to not having the same paychecks rolling in once his footy and media career went down the toilet.

Don't have to be in the limelight to get this feeling, Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

If you can cbf googling, there's exact breakdowns by weight of what can constitute trafficking, commercial traffick, large commericial etc.
Considering he had 10 times the amount of ice/meth than the cut off for trafficing and close to 400x the amount of MDMA i think its a bit of a moot point.

I remember Bomber going on Fox Footy and Open Mike having a go at people who printed stories about his suspected drug use.

Probs should have seen it all along, he looked frazzled and erratic on 360 when he did his weekly segments
there were definitely a couple of 360 segments where he looked like he had just come off a bender

I dont watch that crap much because of Robbo but the few times I did, it was as clear as day he was full of marching powder there and then. I know the look, I have looked like that, I have seen mates with bad addictions to Charlie who looked and acted like that all the time.

Dude would of been smashing an 8ball a day.

I can see a lot of people saying "but would a guy with so much money become a drug trafficker?"

I was thinking the same thing and after thinking about it and checking the facts that we know of, it is possible that he was not a kingpin style drug trafficker but must involved in a minor way. The police can charge a person with drug trafficking if that person simply gives someone a valium. There are many levels of drug trafficking, but they are all called "drug trafficking"
Thomson isn't broke. He can afford to access large quantities of gear. 33grams of ice, let's call it an ounce. Plus the ammo and a jack and jill.
My feel is he is higher up the chain than you give him credit for. A buyer and user of large quantities.
He is up shit creek because they found digital scales and resealable bags along with his stash in his locked room. Locked room. Without the scales and bags he could have cried 'personal use.'
Don't worry about his bikie associate lodging with him. They'll do time together.
Coppers always want the scales...the scales point to dealing. And they found them in his locked room.
He wouldn't be the first wealthy person to venture in drugs and drug dealing.
And money can't keep bottom feeders of the bottom. Scum. Gollum would have more morals.

Yes up until that point I thought all the Bomber and drugs stuff was just internet BS but watching him each week on 360 I thought he was looking a bit NQR

Drug addiction is more powerful than many of you realise. It's easy to point the finger and cast judgement.

I can't imagine he was (allegedly) dealing for the cash. He was likely feeding a habit. Having said that, being caught was probably what he needed to get some help.

Yeah, true. Don't underestimate some people's obsession with feeling like a bad boy too. Some of those guys at the Eagles got a kick from it, tv perthonalities too, get a kick from hanging around some bloke in a leather jacket all the while forgetting these are people who don't really have mates. It's not too different to the kid at high school who likes everyone knowing he's gone to parties when no one else has.
more like the gangsters seduced them. They treated people like cousins and mainwaring like trophies. mainwaring himself said so. Once in they didn't let you leave.
I could tell some wicked yarns here about prostitutes, ammo, pills and midweek parties. with blokes you wouldn't even think of being there. in the early days these players had a lot of coin and lots of time to do nothing.

Scales and bags COULD be him buying large amounts (ounces) and then divvying it up into smaller bits to carry around for personal use through the day. And night, And next day, into the next night, the day after etc etc

But good luck getting a judge to buy that.
