jesus christ, can he "ummm and ahh" possibly any more?
i'm on leave at the moment and listening to doran almost makes me want to slash my wrists.
strangely compelling though, you are disgusted but compelled to listen all the same.

He was interviewing him about his upcoming boxing match, but then asked some questions about "the incident"

He put to hoppa that he laughed and clapped at the bloke he put the finger up, Hoppa denied it saying he went off before him, and Doran than said, so that's not true.

Hoppa then hung up.


Doran said, I think he amay have hung up, then went on to say that he asked his manager if he was ok to questions about the finger incident, and it was cleared.

Doran was asking him about the Keith Galloway hit and if Hopoate "clapped him off". I think Doran continually going on (to quote Doran) "the stinky finger" affair is what really annoyed Hoppa.

SEN are certainly flogging it to death... just replayed it again (3rd or 4th time in four hours). :o

Oh and for an hour or so after Hoppa hung up on him, Doran asked every caller whether they thought "Hoppa was a Tosser". Such a classy radio show!
 
This is Doran's way, he belittles people he doesn't agree with. Hopefully some others also called the station manager and left displeasure at how Doran handled the interview....he certainly did not finger it!
 
It was GOLD !! Hopaote giving him the ass especailly after Doran asked him earlier if he preferred being called John or Hoppa and the pleb then said "Ill call you Hoppa it sounds friendlier "


Was listening to him on Sunday Pre Match Syd VS Rich and they had Richard Colless on (Swans Chairman ) on before the game and Doran went with the old chesnut question re the Wallace / Roos Coaching appointment thing back in 2004.He tried to refer the situation to the movie "Sliding Doors" and then went on his tangent to only get the response of "I havent left a presidents luncheon to talk about something that happened 6 years ago lets move on " and Doran spat it, didnt ask another question and sat in the back of the box playing with little Beads rattle. The guy is a knob , no doubt.
 
I haven't listened to him in some time until this afternoon while driving. He was quote "quite upset" that Brad Hodge didn't get a spot in the Twenty20 squad.

I mean WTF. Seriously, WTF is that?

He pisses me off that he's only ever interested in stuff because there's a Victorian or an Australian involved.

It has become my opinion that this is precisely what SEN is aiming for, They are a disgraceful radio station with absolutely no standards of decency. I switched them off 3 months ago and am never going back. They disgust me.

It's hard because they are the only 24hr sports station so there isn't any other choice. Put simply I'd rather a flawed SEN to no SEN (or similar station). Some of the presenters can get annoying though, I see your point.

If im driving home I definitely prefer 3AW's Sports Today.

Heard his interview with Dougie Hawkins last week and to be fair it wasn't bad. Although anyone interviewing Dancing Dougie might have made me smile.

I was gobsmacked when he apparently did not know that there was a statue of Doug and Ted Whitten outside the Braybrook hotel.

What a w***ker.

I caught a bit of the quiz today and he asked "from what sport do we associate Dale Begg-Smith?" to which the guy answered "Skiing", and Doran didn't give it to him, cause he didn't say Mogul or Freestyle skiing.

Re Brad Hodge it's like getting up on a statue of phar lap and whipping to your heart is content.

Fair dinkum Ferguson is playing well for Australia, but the over the hill Victorian playing for the whipping boys of the IPL is the one that is stiff to miss out!
