That you don't know he's a Saints supporter is a positive for him as a broadcaster I would think. In any case if he made that statement when you were tanking like mad it was probably pretty reasonable.

You're just as ridiculous as Doran.

Tanking like mad .... in order to "tank", you actually have to finish bottom. The Hawks haven't finished bottom since 1965. Won NINE premierships since then.

NINE!!! Would make a norf supporter's nose bleed just thinking about it :)

Geez, North Melbourne supporters' jealousy of Hawthorn is so amusing. :)

Maybe this guy deserves a thread all on his own but Matt Thompson sometimes gives me the shits. Usually all he has to say are reports of things which is fine by me but when he has the mic all to himself he'll come up with some of the stupidest things i've ever heard off.

For example i listend for him briefly and he was going on how there's no pride in the jumper when playing in the International Rules that people don't like it anymore and that he himself didn't watch it.

That's piss weak and if you agree with the guy then I don't really rate you as a person.

How has been going lately, The Ferret? haven't heard any of his program for the past two weeks.
Is he still as lovable as ever?

I just listened to his interview with Damien Fleming and nearly vomited. Fleming was talk about the 1999 World CUp Semi tie with South AFrica, and Doran kept chiming in with stuff like "i was there with Ch 7, i was spilling pints with excitement", etc.

Then comes the nauseating bit - when Fleming talked about how the team went back onto Lords hours after the game to sing the sacred song, Doran chimed in with "yes, i was still there, i was with my Channel 7 cameraman and he was about to film and I told him 'no, no, dont film this, this is sacred'" or something along those nauseating, self-important lines...

That is Gold I could imagine him saying that. I could only imagine the look on Flems face.
I was listening today and Steve Alessio had a go at him for his pitiful moustache effort. The Ferret piped up how he was doing it for Movember and what a good cause it was. Alessio agreed it was a great cause but said that Dorans mo was the worst ever

Oh Dear!

Mark is sitting in his little studio with a Jar of Vaseline by the sounds of it, St Kilda has been the first 15 minutes of his show.

Doran sounds more like a pasta sauce man to me Tess , bet he's got a jar there somewhere.

Doran ... another person let free from the Seven clan!

If it was Seven this, Seven that, why isn't he there anymore?

How did he come to be at SEN?

Yesterday Mark spoke with Craig Kelly about Mark Skaif's finances and the story the Hun ran about him selling his Toorak home and moving into a rented property. Doran did NOT ask any tough questions of Kelly instead just taking what Kelly said as gospel.

Today the news is Skaif has not sold, but has just handed over his share of the Holden Team to help pay out his debt ......

In depth reporting from Mark Doran yet again!

Everyone make sure you tune in daily at 1pm, for the "Best of Mark Doran".

Hear him interview the "movers and shakers of the sporting world". Hear him chip in with such insight as "OK..." and "I did not know that".

Also listen to hear that the majority will be St Blunda based peoples.

Maybe he can replay his interview with Grant Thomas, where he got stuck into Grant about taking holidays while he was coaching. "Maybe that was why you didn't do any good".

Yeah, coach taking a few weeks holidays in the off season, that's it.

I feel sick in the stomach. Not only because of Mark Doran, but also because I haven't realised until now that a thread exists about the most idiotic, poo-jabbing, four-eyed, @$^& $#@$ lazy %#@^*& of absolute @%&!* not only on Australian radio, but any radio station around the world.

The day SEN executes Doran for snoran on the job, is the day SEN shoot up in the ratings.
