Keep him. I'd rather go to the draft and at least keep and pursue with egan- abundance of talent just needs to harness it and deliver. Lonie on the other hand, could well be used as trade bait elsewhere but i'd still keep him over jamar.

Sorry, are we talking about the same Jamar who averaged 4.4 disposals a game and 10 hitouts? This was over 22 games last year! Those stats as a 24 yo and the fact that he's under two metres suggest lmake me think you're delusional. :eek:
 
The only way I can think we'd pick up Jamar is if he was an upgrade for Richards or Bryan so that we could delist one of them and he came basically for free.

You can't keep three ruckman on the list that are all pretty much the same (relatively poor) standard. So would Jamar be a much better prospect than either Richards or Bryan? Probably not.

i wasnt saying that we would get a 2nd rounder, saying that is what it would take to get the club to pull the trigger, in regards to him averaging only 4.4 disposals a game, darren jolly averaged 7.2 a game and 13 hitouts a game in 2003(19 games) and 3.4 disposals and 6.28 disposals a game in 2004 (7 games) and sydney gave us the 12th or 13th overall pick at the end of 2004 for him, this highlights the currency of ruckmen is higher, not saying we would get the 2nd rounder, but we wouldnt be looking at anything less i would suggest
 
Go for youth. Jamar is only ever going to be a middle of the road player. Waste of time and money. We played against Melbourne's top 2 ruckmen and they had 32 hitout's to our 27. That's a competitive effort when my mates were saying Josh and Bryan would be smashed by White. I'd say that Josh was the most effective player on the day of all the ruckmen, at least statistically. I fail to see a need to waste time on sub par Jamar when youth is our catchcry at the moment.
 
I think macdonald from brisbane may be available end of year.
Also Sandiland's contract is up for renewal at year's end,and it's not set in stone that he will sign with the Dockers either.

Average player. Decent when he gets near it but does not get near it often enough. We picked up a 24 yo who could not get a regular game, we dont need another.

I can't see us getting Sandilands. He's a first round pick with quiet a few steak knives thrown in. Too much to lose.

MacDonald could be a chance, and maybe one of adelaides they have like 5 their all injured but they have heaps. Otherwise doesn't Seaby's contract come up soon he is alright in the ruck shines when cox isnt around and goes alright in the forward line to.
 
Yeah maybe a ruck from Adelaide or Brisbane will do. Here are the ruckman we have a better chance of getting and targeting

Adelaide: Meseen, Griffin

Brisbane: Woods, Mcdonald

If that doesnt work out I am sure we can find a ruckman in the draft.
 
Hows about we stop ####in around and use our first round pick to get an established good yound ruckmen! You wont get anything half decent without paying for it .
An alternative is to show faith in our drafting and development teams by picking up a couple of young options and developing them over a 3-4 year period.
Either option is better then picking up crap like brian and jamar who might be good backup ruckmen but we need ruckmen to win us premierships! 4 premierships to be precise. THE MACHINE IS AWAKENING!!!!!

I'm okay at the tap of a throw in, I just get belted around in the bounces. My coach prefers me as a third tall in the forwardline:o

#### this thrid tall shit. hit the gym eat heaps of protein and play first ruck, we dont need a 3rd tall we need a first ruck.

We wont get sandi but that does not bother me. he is the most overate player in the comp. God at hitouts bad at everything else. His hitouts are not exactly helping freo as they are not winning the clearances.
