Good.

So - he missed his head, so what?

He knows the rules and he came in from the front and knocked him down while he had his head over the ball.

Forces Harvey to overlook him which IMO is a good thing.

The down side is that Macca will probably get a reprieve if harvs was thinking about dropping him.

What happened to this guy anyhow? Used to be so dominant at Essendon a few years back, has really fallen off the mark (heh heh) it seems.

How is Keppler Bradley playing , bad luck for Johnson but is Keppler showing any thing

Kepler has been dominating in the air at WAFL level, i'd say a call up would probably have come his way this week if Kiwi Campbell hadn't kicked a 10 goal bag on the weekend.

Johno had a really good game incidentally on the weekend, so he is showing he is hungry, whereas guys like M.Carr have just faded off into the sunset.

One week against Peel means nothing IMO.

Bradley has been up for a while.

I would be very happy to see Kepler succeed. We picked him up with a 5th rounder, and he is only 22 with a huge engine. I would love to think we got this one right, as it is so very, very, very crystal clear that we totally buggered it up with Mark Johnson.

If he gets picked I hope he has a blinder and continues on to a long career with Freo. He's certainly doing everything right at the Cardies at the moment.

Yeah but Kepler works hard both ways, pushes himself to the brink. I dont think Kiwi offers the same value.

He cant go back either.

Neither can Bradley. Not sure if you're seen the the Sheedy experement to play him as a back? In short it failed. Perhaps he's learnt a trick or two since coming here, but unlikely. Maybe in a pinch against the right player for a very very short time to give somebody a rest its a possiblity.

In theory he should be able to play back. He's fast enough, big, good in the air and has good endurance, but for some reason he just doesn't play defense well. Love to be proven wrong on this one.

Couldn't agree more, and with season fast becomeing a lost cause, its the perfect time to give this sort of player a chance to shine under a different system. If he proves at all useful, then we're going to get 8 or so good value years out of him.

Poor Johnno, nothings going right for him at the moment. At least he didn't kick somebody like he did in the VFL.
On Kepler, he seems to be an excellent two's player but not so good at senior level. He won the B&F at Bendigo as a forward and could possibly make it as a forward for you guys. I personally though, wouldn't be getting my hopes up at all. This kid can be the most frustrating player at times and his skills and decision making aren't that good but who knows

I'd like to see him do well, you always want locals to when playing for your side, but I don't think he can at AFL level.

I don't think he is particularly fast. Seems to be one paced like a lot of our squad. It appeared painfully obvious in the NAB cup he just couldn't keep up with the pace of the game...

I for one (and most around here) am under no allusion as to the potential or lack there of that Bradley has. I basically doubt that he will come good as such, I'm just hopeful I'm wrong. But the frustration level for us is going to be less in a sense because he wasn't a top 10 draft pick; he cost us pick 69 (5th round) were you guys forked out pick 6 (1st round).

Even if he ends up being insurance if Murphy leaves and Campbel doesn't come good for us, given his age etc. its still pretty good value IMHO.

As for Johnson, well was a stupid thing and really where he's at he can't be affording to keep himself out of games. BTW, can somebody tell me how long he's contracted to the Dockers?

keplar has shown he can play 2nd level footy but hasnt dominated. kiwi did kick 10 but they did beat peel by 100 points. i dont think either of these boys r capable of bein strong afl players but i wouldnt mind proven wrong :)

I remember seeing Bradley playing on the wing for West Perth before he was drafted, and thought that he looked great there. What's his speed like now? I've heard he's got a big tank, but is it big enough? He's clearly not a defender (in my view), so maybe using him as an attacking wingman could be the go.

Too slow in burst, could possibly work well as a roaming midfielder, but his disposal is shit.

A mate of mine was telling me when Kepler was playing U18, one of his opponents was getting in his ear saying that he was useless and he was playing for them, because his kicking was so bad. Bet him that the next 3 kicks would go nowhere. And what did you know, Kelper gets the ball the next 3 times and all 3 times he kicks it to the opposition :)
