Mark Maclure is at it again.

Apparently trading in a huge number of mature aged players like Everett, Wright, Daisy, Phillips, Jaksch, Jones, Kerridge, Lamb and Gorringe is considered "rebuilding"

Correct.

They're older than us, they finished lower on the ladder than us, and they lost to us.

But apart from that they are better, because, like, Weitering and Cripps or something.
Thats without counting the boost most teams get with a new coach and new gameplan, usually not as easy to back it up in the 2nd year.

right place at right time , a waste of space, as a leader, that cheated his teammates by getting on the piss behind the clubs back, leading others astray , hope he enjoys watching the blooze these days :p

All it's missing is this:
Screenshot 2016-08-07 18.18.21.png

and a reference to Carlton now having 8 losses in a row!! The shame is that they have Brisbane and Essendon in the last 3 weeks. We will be unpredictable and will probably win one more despite playing 3 tough sides but if we don't they MIGHT sneak above us. Not the most important issue in the world but when you don't have much to cheer for in a season, finishing above Carlton is important :)
Still, drop lower than them and we get a better player than them in the draft :D

Chelsea FC, Victory, All Blecks,
Maclure is and has always been an idiot, hard to believe he captained Carlton to 3 flags, helps when your club first rorts the zones, then cheats the cap I suppose:$

WTF you talkin about willis?

HE'S twice as good as Vickery :)
And was a good player in a strong era for the Blues, headlined by guys like Nicholls, Ashman, Jesaulenko, Johnston, Doull, 'Swan' McKay, Walls, Keogh, Buckley and Harmes.
How do you rate Robert Flower? A mere one best and fairest to Laurie Fowler's three b&fs. I know who I'd pick first.

I don't thin he was the lone ranger in that regard. Harmes, Buckley, Jones, Bosustow, countless others did it. They were the times. I was coached by harmesy years ago .... surprised how many had on a Friday night before a game.

Did you mean in an era where the Blues benefited from rorting the salary cap after years of holding on to one of the best zones in Victoria thanks to having supporters in high places at the AFL, s**t club and Maclure is a s**t bloke, match made in heaven.

Granted the zone system was established to counter the work of one man, Graeme Richmond .. and the actual zoning was not as random as the VFL made out.
