I don't like him but the guy did play an absolute mountain of domestic cricket reasonably successfully. It deserves at least some respect, he played like 700 games!

Dennis Commetti never played afl football (though he coached wafl) - Alan McGilvray never played test cricket yet is renowned as one of the best ever.

I personally think Mark Nicholas is tremendous - particularly in his role as host. Very easy to be bash from the sidelines.

Agree with the person who noted the shitness of Langer on ABC radio... Imean.. he seems like a decent bloke and I admired him as a player but he is level with Danny Southern as the worst caller I've ever heard...

Made a few fluff ups over the last two games,

1) Saying Australia won by two wickets, when it was two runs in the Twenty/20 match.

2) Naming Watson as the player of the series calling the award multiple times, before correcting himself at the end. Unless he has a crystal ball and assumes Watson will be the player of the series - bit odd after 1 game though.


He makes Tony Greig look like a commentary god in comparison
