Does anyone know if Nicoski has bulked up since becoming an Eagle?
Had good stats in the Peel v Subi game on the weekend.

Saw him during the week, and he said he has put on about 6 or 7 kilo's.

He has got a lot more definition in his muscles since starting a weights regime at the Eagles, and the muscle is starting to pack on.

He was close to BOG against Peel, but he was pretty modest about his performance, he had some pretty dissapointing games at the start of the season, but I think 9 Inside 50's off a wing and half back flank speak for themself.

I thought he would be a chance to get promoted to the senior list when Matera retired, because he is a natural winger, but WCE decided to keep him on the list. Probably to repay him for everything he has done for the club and keep him on the accounts.

I wouldn't get too excited, he was pretty close to being dropped for the Peel game due to some pretty poor form. To his credit though he came off the bench to great effect and made the most of his oppurtunity. I dont know if he has ever played half-back but on saturday night he was very effective in running over the lines and moving the ball from deep in defence to attack. Hopefully he continues his good form for the next few weeks and puts himself in a position to be elevated.

He definitely was playing pretty poorly since the start of the season, but I think he will start showing what he is capable of this season.

Matera wasn't on the senior list so he can't be replaced (by a rookie.)

Is that the rule is it? If you are on the vets list, you can't be replaced by someone on the rookie list if you retire?

What if he was just on the regular senior list, would he be allowed to be replaced by a rookie listed player?

That is correct if u got salary cap space then a senior list player who is delisted or retired can be replaced by a rookie listed player.

Nicoski sounds like he should be playing with the Perth Glory with a name like that.

I think the WC would be better off delisting Matera. He won't be back and it seems silly to keep him on the list when a young'un could fill the spot and get some worthy experience.

I understand the loyalty, but the WCE could also fill in a hole on the list and I am sure Peter would not be upset about it.

Heart rules head if this is the case.
