As a measure of respect for your many very good opinions in the past, I will refrain from posting my first thoughts when I read your post DT, but, have you been on the turps?:D

You were taking the piss werent you?

^Nikki stole my thunder. I am filing a police report as soon as I can mock up receipts for a PS3 and a couple of plasmas.

Sorry Wood Duck but I agree with DT - Jericho is able to do the things that most of our backbone group can't (ouch that hurt to admit in my love of all things team orientated). He also has that ability that you just want to shoot him for the stupid brain fades ala Burton.

I have been disappointed in you guys going after Jenny - at no stage did she say that Roo should not have been in, she was disappointed in that one of our form players from the week previously was dropped and couldn't see why. Initially I was the same but I can only surmise that it had to be one of the Forwards and you couldn't drop Porplyzia after only 1 game in as that is not Craig's style. He gives them a couple of games first up. Personally it would have been Porplyzia in my mind to be dropped instead of Jericho as that was more a like like player against Roo. But that would have been a very harsh decision too.

I think you'll find she did say it (as per WD quote's above). The main problem was Roo in and Jericho out was getting related too often in the discussions and Jenny never came out and said, 'I agree Roo should have been in'. Not that she had to agree.. hehe.. but thats why you'll find those of us who STRONGLY believed he had to come back in wouldn't let it drop. Just as she didnt let drop that she felt Jericho should have stayed in, and good on her for sticking to her guns.

Either way I never had a problem with anyone being disappointed that Jericho was dropped. The problem was IMO there was never an agreement that Roo HAD to come in. I said myself a few times that who should have been dropped for Roo is a separate discussion.

What I personally find illogical, again just my opinion, is people knee jerk reacting from week to week here rather than thinking about what is likely to be best for the team over all within the context of the season. I'm interested to know if people really see a negative in bringing back Roo to find out if he can still contribute and start getting him match fit now? I'm also interested to know if people think Jericho being dropped will be bad for Jericho's performance over the rest of the season? I personally feel Craigy has given him a strong message at the start of the year, he sounds like (by his own admission in that article during the week) he's applied that and its paid him dividends. Now Craigy has sent him another message, you can perform adequately (to good.. personal opinions on that) but you still need to give me more, your position is never safe. I like that to be honest and if he is to become the player he NEEDS to become with that fire in the belly we want ALL our players to have then being dropped this week is actually likely to bring that out more.

As for this game just played in particular... agreed it made our chance of winning probably lower. But SHOULD have won it anyway and in the context of the season I think Roo in - good move, Jericho out - understandable.
