Give them pick 26 plus JON

i would much rather seaby then warnock

i actually rate him and think he would do a better job then Simmonds

both of them would give us a huge lift out of the middle

this morning i didnt want him .. but now the more i think about it ....

yehh i'd be happy if we got him ... maybe a swap for JON ??

then again my mind might change tonight lol ...

The facts are beaver, very few ruckman turn out to be really good players...How many dean cox's are out there ...Certainly didnt see any GF day:confused:...Say we did use the R2 pick on a U18 ruckman, there;s only a remote possibility he will turn out to be better than Seaby and thats the facts Jack...Id pay R2 pick for him which leaves us open to secure a top class mid with R1 selection, we'd be laughing like fat spiders I reckon
We could have easily taken a ruckmen in the later rounds and ensured we had a young ruckman on the rookie list evey year. Surely we would have found at least 1-2 players out of that lot. It would have meant we got rid of fringe hacks like Hyde, Tivendale et al., but no we don't operate like that at tigerland.

no no no

when will you clowns learn. just hold onto the picks and if anything try and get another top 25 pick, the draft isnt as strong depth wise as some think.

forget about seaby hold onto our 1st 2 picvks and try and get another top 30 pick in if at all possible that should be our motto.

keep building

Not trying to sell seaby here but the poor chap does not get substatial game time. He gets around 20 mins a game.......Cox can play about 100mins. I think this is what has lead him to leave eagles. He is a great kid, took a pay cut to adjust for judd, is married and has no baggage.

on field, he is good player, can go fwd and take contested marks (he scored about 25 goals in 2007), was very good in 2005/06 too.

Unfortunately for us, he is playing for WCE at a wrong time (when we have cox). You will be pleasantly surprised how good he is when given no. 1 ruck responsibilites.

IMO pick 26 is a bit high in such a deep draft but if they give us they're pick 36 and Seaby it may be a bit better.

What about 26 and JON for Seaby and 36 as a starting point?

Id take that. We still get 3 picks in the top 40 and not so much pressure to draft a ruckmen.

yeah good idea...
if we give them 26 and get seaby plus 36 we win
but how old is he...
we may need him cos i can't see patto being our number one once simmo hangs up the boots but seaby could

He's 24. Perfect fit for us.

i agree cotch :thumbsu:
wallace will be very happy right now .. hopefully simmonds will retire soon .. seaby no 1 ruck ... then all we need is Johnson,Bowden,Richo to retire and we'll be sweet ...

bloody oath, must get i say.

watch our midfield go next year with the 2 of them running around

simmo and seaby

just rotate them at full forward throughout the whole game

patto can go SHF

I like your thinking ;)

Now we can get best mid in the draft ! Ziebell/Sidebottom/Hartlett :D

I would like to keep 8 and pick up the best midfield option at that pick, trade 26 to the Eagles in return for Seaby and their 3rd round pick. That way we would get to add depth to our midfield, would get the ruckman we need and would still have 3 picks inside the first 3 rounds.

If Cameron can pull this sort of deal off then I'm sure he would win over quite a few doubters on this board.

Shouldnt be too hard. We have pick 36 but only 3 spots to fill on the list.

Great to see most of you in favour of picking up Seaby - he would be a perfect fit at Richmond and at just the right age and talent for where your ruck division is at, and yep - would allow you to pick up one of the excellent midfielders on offer early in the draft with your first pick. Hope the decision makers at each club come up with a good deal in both teams favour that makes both of us that extra bit in front next year :thumbsu:

we couldn't care less bout what you say...
we'll get a good deal for him and probably actually get a better deal...
thats a bit harsh o well go tigers

Would Seaby want to go to Richmond?

Assuming that the main reason he has left West Coast was opportunity, surely he'd be second fiddle behind Simmonds?

Simmonds is in his 30's and Richmond would probably play him forward, thus giving Seaby ruck time.

I'm sure Seaby would be happy to play for any Vic team also. Otherwise he's practically got nowhere to be traded.

if we get seaby, we just gotta hope that port take vickery.

also wouldnt mind brisbane taking sidebottom, to be honest i would prefer ziebell as well as hartlett before him

Yeah thats I suppose, Simmonds could push forward and play as the CHF.

He could end up looking like a bargain with Foley/deledio and Cotchin around him, if there is one thing Seaby can do well, it's direct a tap to advantage.
