He's tradeable- although if we lose Cox, we have to keep Seaby and vice versa. I think its probably fair to say that unless one of these two players reinvents themselves as a forward, both won't be at the club in two years time.

I can see the merit in keeping Seabs about until he's played and developed a bit, because then his value will be higher- ditto Cox.
Right now, Seaby is an excellent player at WAFL level who has never had a go in the big time- if he played a good season next year, his value would be much higher.

Speaking of Seaby, I hope you're all watching the ABC at the moment. Should be a good duel between Seaby and Beeck.

Just caught the second quarter... Lynch looked fantastic.

Watched the game today. I can't seeing us trading Seaby anytime soon. I thought he easily beat Beeck today. He will be a very good player. Lynch was very good from CHF BUT he should stop trying to kick goals from 65m out just because he can make the distance. Bradley and longmuir were very good as well... I think its time for a 3rd AFL team in Perth called West Perth :D

Surprised that Lynch hasn't even got a look in at all this year. Apparently he isn't very well liked down at the club.

By the players or the coaching staff?
The latter makes sense on what we saw this season.

Would gladly take him off your hands. Still having nightmares about last years game. How about Seaby and Lynch in a package???;)

We need big men, I can't see us trading away the ones we have.

I think if the eagles would trade any big guy it would probably have to be Ashley Hansen. Very talented footballer and his from victoria (played for the same junior footy club i do) so he could maybe be touted during the trade period. Although he has been unlucky with injuries.

Interested to hear why?

Wouldn't surprise me though- anyone catch what Woosha said about him at half time? It was something along the lines of how he was surprised that Lynch had polled well in the Sandover medal count- might have come out wrong, but it sounded as though he thought Lynch was lucky to get votes.

If there is a rift, it really does need to be mended. I haven't seen much of the Falcons this year, but geez he looked good today- still as big, strong, and bloody terrifying as before, but seems more agile on his feet.

Every time Lynch served up one of his 70m specials, all I could think of was how he would have solved our kick-in woes against Adelaide, given us a defender capable of hanging with Carey, et al. I'd really like to know what is going on off field- if he doesn't get a decent chance next year, he's going to be a bloody good player for another team, and we'll be kicking ourselves.

As an outsider I am really surprised that Lynch wasn't given a chance this year. I still remember when he killed us last year. Thumping kick, big body, great mark exactly what the doctor ordered.

Maybe Woosha doesn't see him as a player he can depend on. Why I really don't know. I would love to have him at my club. Would you guys want Perrie?????:)

West Perth played very well today and we are NOT going to be trading Mark Seaby any time soon. I think he will play a fair bit of AFL next year as a back up ruckman who can go forward.

Where does that leave Cox?

I've just heard that he isn't that well liked within the players group. I doubt it has anything to do with him not getting a run.

No big deal. We can't expect all the different personalities to gel perfectly. I'm sure the players are professional enough to look past that...

Very true that one - I don't like the idea of having a ruckman on the bench, who at best can pinch hit in other areas around the ground.

Anyone else reckon we should have a look at Nathan Thompson. I don't know how good of a year he has, and can't say I've noticed him at all, but in the past has been a fantastic forward, and can pinch hit in the ruck, which would be good to give Gardiner a rest.........

is that Seaby??

No BT, Lynch

Also Seaby played ok today but not astoundingly well (believe me, if your sitting with the guys parents you get to know how well hes playing lol) but he did beat Beeck IMO, not up to his usual standards though but definately played well. From talking to him and his Dad it really REALLY sounds like the club has big plans for him next year, whether that be ruck or forward i dont know (he has been told to make sure he an play either) but i really dont think hes in line to be traded.

VOR, any idea how good his Dad was as i found out today he too played for the falcons.

I didn't see TV but at the game I thought Lynch was slow and on the Falcons losing posession never chased back on his man. In fact I thought Fewster was the better of the two big men.
I am convinced though that CHF is his position, but I'd put Doogs and Gaspar ahead of him.

In the second quarter all the Falcons looked fantastic.

Seaby looks a good ruckman. Beeck may make a Key Defender but was thrashed by Seaby in the ruck

in an instant

Stiffy-18 - I would trade you Lynch for Ian Perrie in an instant! Rather a Royal than a Garlicmuncher any day :D

They'll keep and fast track Seaby and trade Cox. Mark's dad was still playing footy at Mukinbudin last year or the year before.
