I think he will try and play, but once he fails to make the grade I'd say he'll call it quits. Trouble is he might not get past the SANFL reserves.

To me its 50-50 at best if he plays again at Aami.

I agree that it may be better to quit while he is ahead rather than go through sh#t and go out struggling.

If it was left up to Stevo he probably would - he is totally negative about succeeding to play again on a regular basis.

On the other hand the club are hoping like hell that he will.

Sadly, it's a bit of a long shot!! :(

Geez, what we would do for a fit Stevo (of the Mark variety) in the side...
It would make us a MUCH better side.

It would straighten us up to no end and all this p|ss farting around the flanks would stop and we would play a lot more direct.

Our deterioration without Stevo at CHF to straighten us up should be quite evident now to all those supporters of other teams that thought we Crowies over-rated him as a player.

I'd give Stiffy's left testicle for a couple more of him!!! :D

is it in Mark Stevens best interest to go back to CHF even if dose return to AFL action. How oftern do people fall on him and if his knee is as bad as it is being reported shouldnt we try him down back even thought we really need a quality forward ATM. If stevens comes back he will be good for a few more years so a back six IMO

BP M Stevens N bassett K massie

HB B Hart K Mcgregor T Hentshel

but this is just my opinion

His powers of healing must be amazing - he carries on like he is on death row each time he gets a niggle but somehow manages to miraculously recover for the next week. I'm surprised he wasn't stretchered off on Saturday night!!

FAIR GO BOYS.......he isnt nearly as bad you you let on

if he has had a dose of Anti-inflammatory Medication his swelling around his Ankle would have gone down and the Physio would help clear the Bruising

I'm more concerned that Bassett has been playing crap footy. Regardless of whether he injured or not, he should get some form back with Norwood. He still has lots to contribute to AFC, so hopefully he can find some form quickly!

No except that he has the tendency to cop an injury when he is getting beaten by his opponent only to recover for next game.

Anyone remember that incident at training in the summer when he had a mini ambulance take him off the training track. Bassett clutching at his knee like he snapped the anterior crutiate ligament only to recover in 3 days and play the game on the weekend.

I think we would all like to see Bassett playing very well at full back but at the moment he isn't, and he does his reputation no good with his carrying on with his injuries.

Our defence was undermanned Saturday night against probably the strongest attack in the comp and Bassett limps off only to come up again this week. Doesn't look good in my eyes.
