Well, what do you guys think of him signing at Middlesborough(Spelling??)

I reckon it shows that he doesn't mind just chipping it around, and he obviously doesn't won't to be one of the strikers in the league. He could of got a hell of a lot more money if he went to Italy or Spain.

I reckon he is a wasted if he is playing at Middlesborough, but hey you never no.

p.s I went back 2 pages, I ain't sure if this has been posted.

He has a proven goalscoring record, but he tends to score them in bunches and can often have long barren spells. A good signing if you consider that two years ago he probably would have commanded double the price, but I remain unconvinced about his temperament and consistency - if Dukes and JFH both have a bad day, you can almost guarantee Boro will not score because when they are bad - they are awful. But when they're good, they have the potential to be lethal.

He'll be playing in Europe (EUFA cup) this coming season, and in a team that has a good defensive record in the league, but one that has a record of not scoring (for which he will probably help). Also, its a team that has recruited well in the off season and has quite a good coach in Steve McClaren. So why do you see him wasting his time at the Boro?

Viduka can be a deadly striker but cant see him linking up with jimmy H to well hes always played better with a quick, Oppitunistic, flying striker next to Him E.g Smith) but ,maybe they can strike up an understanding. Middelsbourgh should be a top team this season looking at there current squad,

Totally agree. It's the fact he doesn't score consistantly, which means he is not rated as highly as he could be.

He has always started very well at his new clubs, he seems to grow stale towards the end of his spells though. I'd expect him to have a great season.

Going to Boro meant that he did't have to move house. He lives north of Leeds, pretty much half-way between Leeds and Boro so that would have been a big plus.

Despite his size he has always been better at creating chances than taking them. He is at his best with his back to goal laying on backheals and flick-ons to pacy strikers and midfielders coming from deep. I reckon Juninho and Mendieta in particular will absolutely love the V-Bomber.

They will have to sell a few now won't they? Viduak, JFH, Job, Maccarone, Christie, Nemeth and Ricketts for 2 spots is a bit of a crowd.

Ricketts has already gone to Leeds. I'd think Nemeth will be the other to go.

I think some are still wandering through the fog, smoke and other toxic fumes, waiting to get their first glimpse of Ravanelli in a Boro shirt.

How incredibly original Pablo

Anyone who can't see that Boro have thus far done well in the transfer market this season are blinded by bias. How many of the other middle range clubs like ourselves will be able to boast a strike partnersip as dangerous as Viduka and JFH?

Greetings,

Well Leeds needed to sell him his cause of the wages.

Viduka needed top flight flootball to try and get his reputation back in order.

There is no doubt in my mind that if he does well but Middlesbough don't he will be out of their faster than a roller coaster.

Enjoy!

I'd be quaking in my boots knowing the style of play McLaren is playing there :o

We played defensively because our strikers were crap and we were playing to our strengths. With far better strikers we will not play defensively.
