Took Ed Richards out in a pre-season game. Pretty dog act, chose to bump when it wasn't necessary. Should get minimum 2 weeks.

It wasn't a dog act. Just a bit silly. 2 weeks sounds about right, but could be anything from 1-3.

Thought Marley wasn’t at fault given he can’t have expected Richards to fall over. That being said the AFL punishes the outcome so he’ll at least a week

What can the bloke do? He elected to bump and Richards went for a Peter Dinklage impression. No namer player on the chopping block, need some more newsworthy content before the season starts, as such, AFL expectedly and typically will give him 1 or 2.

David King says Marley Williams should get 5 weeks for that little bump on Richards after Richards fell over.

Serious question, is it mandatory to eat estrogen daily to watch AFL now?

Head contact is sacrosanct only if player gets hurt, tackling above shoulder is rife in the AFL and always play on.
Season has not started yet and the madness of the AFL continues.

Looking forward to when a big club and/or big name commits a similar offence.
They will get the same penalty because when you bump and hit someone in the head you get what you deserve. Players are allowed to bend down or lower their heads to attack the ball. instead of bumping and trying to be a tough man, tackle them instead and you have nothing to worry about.

Yep you’re allowe to tackle head high but can’t bump, but the head is sacrosanct they reckon........

AFL has made a few comments about tougher concussion rules, and the pre season is often the time they'll try to make a statement.

I don't think it was THAT bad, but last year it was probably a week. For the reasons above, I think it'll get 2.
