'Backwards' and 'reverse' racism aren't slang terms, they're terms that describe racist viewpoints or slurs held by minority groups towards the majority. It's basically a redundant term though, as racism IS racism, no matter which group it's employed with or against, just as discrimination is discrimination.

All examples of racism should be recognised as that and opposed.

It's called slang mate.

Nah mate. It's not slang - it implies the 'true' racism is white v whoever.

We deal with a similar thing at work where the femi-Nazis peddle the idea of 'reverse sexism' when men are harrassed for having a dick. It's only 'real' sexism when a woman is put down.

That whole argument is sexist in itself.

It looks like NITV may have picked it up again. Leila Gurruwiwi was the MC at that thing, so I'm guessing she made some kind of announcement.

Nothing official yet, but the rumours are that it will be back on NITV again. Not sure if they care about going head-to-head with the other footy shows on that channel. I doubt that the ratings are that important on there. When it was on NITV a few years ago, we'd get the replay on Foxtel (Channel 180/NITV) around 10.30pm at night. Not sure what time it was originally shown down south.

Probably worth following Shelley Ware & Marngrook for any updates.

Really good news, SBS could be onto a winner! Although the soccer fans might get a bit shity with AFL on there station.

Yes, it's excellent news. Smart move by SBS - Marngrook may have a relatively small following, but it's very loyal. And no, there won't be a problem with soccer fans by having an AFL program on SBS.

Looking ahead... SBS are launching a new Indigenous Channel;

I wonder if the Marngrook Footy Show will find its target demographic on that channel?

Sicko goes BANG! from 90 metres. Straight through the hey-diddle-diddle!

The show, which began as a niche program with a cult following on community TV and grew into a program with national appeal and support, will return to NITV on SBS

Great news, personally I liked their slant on delivering footy news etc and their special guests. There was something comical about their approach to the show, they tried to be pro's but instead delivered a unique brand of comedy without even trying!

Soccer Nazi and head of SBS Sport, Craig Foster, has finally had his way. despite it easily being the most popular show on NITV (some might say the only popular show on NITV), Craig has been wanting it axed for quite some time - no doubt because of, not despite, it's popularity.
With 30+ years’ experience in the television industry, Ken Shipp is one of Australia’s most respected media executives. In his current role as Director of Sport at SBS, Ken oversees all aspects of SBS’s sport broadcasts, including on-air and digital, and is responsible for the rights negotiations of the network’s most important properties.

Try again......and you wild ramble also ignores the fact that NITV will continue to broadcast a lot of NT football.

Shame, but it only rated around 20K late last year. I know it is on NITV but that is also the issue. No money.
