NOBODY could accuse Carlton marquee signing Darcy Vescio of not having embraced her AFL club.

Already working at Princes Park three days a week as a graphic designer, one of Vescio’s projects is designing the inaugural women's guernsey for the "new" dark Navy Blues.

The strong-marking forward, a St Kilda fan growing up who has played exhibition matches for the Western Bulldogs, is keen to get her hands dirty out on the oval too in the build-up to the AFL women's league next February.

I love this girl already. Something about her that is just so infectious and that's besides the fact she can clearly play Small but bounces around, has some clever skills too.

Can fly, gets the ball to boot quickly, can kick, has pace. Excitement machine.

She's a super talent, Darcy, but the biggest problem is that she's played as the third forward for most of her senior career in both exhibition matches and for Darebin. Still confident she could do damage against each team's best defender, but maybe not to the same extent as she does now.
